 The young soldier looks familiar from an iconic  photo image and something about a girl. But I can't  bring it to mind.  When I see it again I will remember and post it.

After running out of grenades and ammunition he directed his Maori battalion to throw rocks at the germans. Twice wounded Ngarimu and his battalion lasted one more night.
He was only 24.
