Hy,
i'm new here and starting with a very unusual request. I'm searching for an oldfashioned, gloomy, poetic or somehow ambiguous word to describe spare parts- pieces that you collect to replace broken or missing parts.
To explain this, i'm opening a special effects shop and searching for a name for it. I want something that could be a title of a movie or book, an interesting name that let you think of an old dusty obscure shop that sells like heads and arms of dolls in case you need to replace something on your old doll. (that will be the decoration in the shop as well) the little ... shop
Someone's got an idea? Any suggestions are very much appreaciated!!
Ah yeah i should say that i'm not english native so thats why my treasury of words doesnt go that far..

Check out the above link.  It mostly covers your request, I think.

For the word, perhaps try:

- detritus
- arcana
- odds 'n' sods
- bits 'n' bobs
- bits and pieces
- flotsam and jetsam
- bric-a-brac
- rejectia
- deletia
- irrelevantia
- unwanted
- waste material
- replacement parts
- body parts
- junk
- trinkets
- garbage
- offcuts
- medical waste
- prosthetics
- footnotes
- afterthoughts
- lost toys
- forgotten things
- happy-happy-joy-joy*

* Not really. It's just that things were in danger of going a bit B-flat minor. Anyway, I hope this helps you.
