Now isn't that a coincidence!! As some of you know I work in a specialist Library in London. Have done for 27 years. One of my duties involves labelling new additions to our collections. Over the years I must have handled/labelled thousands of volumes from brand new publications to fragile 16th century manuscripts but in all that time I have never come across a book with a hidden picture on the edge of it's pages, invisible unless held the right way. Until last Monday. This particular volume had a sea-faring image. A huge ship in full sail, big waves, billowing clouds, all of which disappear when the book is closed. I thought it was amazing. And now you've posted this article....
