If you'd believe this, I went to Target for random things I needed and lo and behold, steampunk everywhere!
Here are a few finds I made yesterday:

Ah, you lucky women! I wonder what they might have in the Gentleman's department?  They had these absolutely wonderful and Steamy men's wool coats last winter, but I hadn't the cash at the time  Cry  Ah, but I loves Target so...

i can't find it on their website, but i recently bought a murse from there that is absolutely amazing... plenty of pockets and space for just about anything... and the bonus is that is made of genuine leather and looks like something an explorer or engineer would wear...

Target does indeed have some wonderful things.  I, in fact, own the second shirt linked and am quite pleased with it.

I'd tried to find the red and blue necklace at my local target today, but they didn't have it unfortunately. I tried on the skirt though and it's really nice; I'm waiting until it goes on sale to buy it.

I just bought a great wide brown faux leather belt with large brass rings &  buckles, and a military inspired faded black hat with buckles & snaps both in the clearance section of Target a few days ago. I looked on the website and neither are pictured so that I might link to them. I wish the items from the first post were at my local Target!

The men's section of the store had a few cool military inspired bags (messenger style) but the prices were a little too expensive ($30+) for my current budget.

In the Halloween decor section of the shop they had a few old style brass lanterns that would have been nice for in the home (I think they were glass.. maybe not so good for props)  but I forgot to price them.

Hmmm....I may have to check out Target more than once a year.  I usually only go in sometime around Xmas for "pretty princess pink" hair ornaments for a young niece.

I have not been to "Tar-shay" recently. I do like those boots...

It is my single most favorite store for "stuff" in the Western Hemisphere.

I went to target recently and got that bag! along with a few other things I'll probably post pics of shortly. but I do love that bag so. It's now been named my "superspecialsecretawesomeadventurebag" and I've been taking it with me everywhere.

Looks like a pirate's messenger bag... very nice find there. I've been in Target off and on, but I never thought to look through their shelves for steampunk.

I saw the leather bag at Target too, but thought it looked a little too faux-worn in and more like a riding jacket than an adventurers bag.  It does look like they have the same kind in a more plain unworn brown though.

It also didnt have the band cut at an angle so it wouldnt flop around on your hip.

I went with the canvas bags they had on sale that had the diagonal cut strap and no real outside pockets - it *does* have a ton of hidden pockets and places for pens and notebooks though (and apparently isnt any brand at all and isnt carried on their website).

Picked up a cheap Coleman pocket watch too.

I get approx over $100 in Target cards monthly as a bonus from my work (Bill Collecting for ahem... a certain retail chain's in-store credit card.) I haven't checked out the men's department anytime recently, I shall have to pay a visit and see what may be usable.

my mom just came home with another target surprise tonight. Smiley A really pretty and slightly ruffly white alice temperely button up shirt. But for some reason it's not listed on the website so I'll take pictures later.

The only slight problem with the white and lighter color alice shirts is they're kind of sheer so you'll end up having to wear something over it. for myself I used my black vest and it looks pretty good. Smiley I love it already! Smiley
