A quick experiment in painting lighting with acrylics which I did a few years ago: I'm hoping to try this again some time, only in full size and with an airship...

This was good! I mean colors: I have seen lightings colored with creepy neon-colors, which looked really bad for eyes. In this picture, colors are fitting good together. Full version is going to be nice, I think.

I have a couple pictures, so I am putting them behind spoilers for people with slow connections. The first three are maps, and the rest is band artwork.

Hi, all! I haven't been around the boards in a little while and I haven't painted anything steampunk (well, anything at all, in fact) in months. But I found myself with a few spare nights this week, so naturally I resorted to painting another steampunk beauty. Okay, well, maybe a bit less traditional "Steampunk" and a lot more "Steampunk Cosplay," but certainly not out of place at a steampunk con. (Speaking of which, Clockwork Alchemy in San Jose, CA, USA is this month. Anyone here going? I'll have a few pieces up in the Art Gallery and will have some small stuff for sale.) Anyhow, enough blah blah blah, here's the new art: Cheers!

I finally have a few drawings that I can share (I have had a lot of trouble drawing anything at all lately). They are all rather cartoonish and I don't think they are as good as a lot of other people's stuff (everyone I know thinks I'm an awesome artist but I am pretty bad compared to the professionals). I will post them as soon as I can (it may be a few days). I have a picture of Kapitän Fritz (my persona), Otto the chief engineer, and Klaus the radio operator/ navigator.

The chief engineer. Sorry about him being upside down, and a couple of things being cut off the page.

The radio operator/ navigator (this time it copied sideways). So there are my low-quality scans of my low-quality drawings. I am almost embarassingly un-computer-savvy for someone of my age.

Mr. Dorn, perhaps you can answer a question which has been nagging at me for some time, namely:
How the Deuce does Adm. Hayworth hold his monocle in place? Squid are not, after all, known for the prominence of their cheekbones…

Determination. The real question you should be asking is "how the heck does he move along the ground?"

I just made a tektek avatar for myself but BG won't let me use it as my profile picture for some reason, so I'm sharing it here. Just wanted to see if this looks anything like the picture I drew of Fritz. I'm not trying to pass it off as "art".
