This is essentially what my outfit will look like when it's done, give or take a couple elements. I drew this up just to give myelf something to work towards. What's my job in the Steampunk world you ask? Why I'm an Environmental Bio Experimentalist specializing in Snake Oil synthesis I've already got the boots/spats and goggles (although they're different from the ones in the pic) and I'm just about to go make the vest. P.S. I used this for my signature, but the background was snatched off google images. It's of the Distillery District in Toronto.

Somewhere in conversation with one my friends came the notion of IronMan a la steampunk. After the first few seconds of believing it would be cool, we realized how hilariously ridiculous it would be. The next day, my friend did a picture of the would be steam-iron man. considering he did it in paint i think it's awesome. Not only would this character not be able to keep up with any opponents, but if he fell over he'd be stuck and even worse, if he fell forward, he wouldn't be able to get out. We tried drawing a comic for this but it didn't take. Anywho, whatever i just remembered this and decided to post it.

I'm struggling to remember, but there was an alternate Ironman story thread, where he's sucked into a universe without electricity (I think), and has to rebuild the suit as mechanical / steam. S0omething like that anyhow, memory not working very well but I'm sure I've seen that somewhere.

Hmm.. it's been a while since I've poked my head in here... You all have been quite busy! Christophine, that is an absolutely adorable illustration. I'm especially fond of the belt - it looks like you're quite prepared! I hope to see your outfit when it's finished. I've been holding this back for a while because I wasn't sure how "steampunky" it was, but it does have lots of gears... I'm not quite sure how to finish it - hence the sketchiness - but I think I may try to paint over it digitally. Ah, we shall see... Now this is the sort of thing I do when I'm bored silly: Meet li'l Elizabeth Pane and the slightly incomplete Marie Leroux! These are both characters from my own little steampunk world. Eventually I hope to flesh them out more and tell their story. The bases for these pixel dolls were made by Miss Morrigann at deviantART.com. http://morrigann.deviantart.com/art/Tinwe-Base-40486457 Please pay her a visit

Elle, that is not only steampunk, but completely marvelous! Smaggers, you didn't read it on the ol' blog? http://www.brassgoggles.co.uk/brassgoggles/?p=677Yes, to quote Neil Gaiman when he did 1602; "the only marvel character from my childhood I didn't use was Iron Man, but only because I could think of no way of building an Iron Man suit from medieval technology without baking Stark like a rock cake."

I, first of all, should like to express my deepest admiration for the Entire Steam Community. I would also like to say that I have often thought that such a Forum as this is, and will continue to be, useful to most, if not all, Scientists in said Community. Indeed, as I was pondering on what new Inventions and Contraptions to "cook up," this plan sprang into my mind! These are the "Nivens-Wallace Steam-Emission Jump Boosters" as presented in a simple drawing. Whilst it remains a meager and rough sketch, I sincerely hope to complete the schematics and perhaps, funding provided, make a set. *break from character* Explanation: The handle sends a signal to the control box, which then sends splits it and sends a signal to the individual jet emitters; thus synchronizing the steam/air emissions. The length the button is pressed is directly linked to the length of time the steam/air is emitted. The thigh straps are linked to pumps which re-pressurize the air containers, and use movement from running and the like to pump it up. It's not entirely steamy yet, but I'm still working on that... *re-enter character* And so, my venerable Lords and Ladies, good Sirs and Madams, as this is a Forum of open discussion, I would be sincerely blessed and thankful if you were to respond with Suggestions and Opinions. With My Sincerest Thanks, Jonathan Wallace Gentleman(ly) Scientist

I actually really like the globe, though it needs a small airship picture and a red dotted line on it.

The second one look like a Quebec's actress name Pascale Bussiére and the third one like a steampunk version of NCIS's Aby. And their are all absolutely gorgeous.

Tackar så mycket, Ms March Cmdr Obadiah, thank you. Third from top is actually my pet project, but unfortunately my skills as a seamstress have proved to be lacking. Bigglesworth, I hadn't thought of adding an airship- that is a most excellent idea, and I shall pilfer it, hopefully with impunity Smaggers, Your gallery is also quite wonderful! I have watched you

WIP Steampunk Ninja I hope to actually make a steampunk ninja costume in the not to distant future. I've already got the ninja part. Just need some steampunkian gear to spruce it up and make it cool.

To the venerable Hr. Falkenheim....
I admit that I was rather distressed by your portrait of the good lady Falkenheim - I note that she has no pocket for the safe placement of her pocket watch - unfortunately in my cogitation on the possible placement of said watch for the avoidance of damage, I became somewhat inflamed....
Anyway, I wish to express my sincere astonishment at the aesthetic you portray. Good show.

I do apologise if I caused you to become ruffled. I assure you I am very discreet when stowing my precious watch (although it is sometimes a little cold) My good husband has tried to persuade me to make use of my beltpouch, but it is somewhat inconvenient to fish it out from amidst various miscellany, when one simply wants to check the time!
