So now that you've done the February and March covers for Strange Tales, who will appear on the April edition?

I've got the next couple already lined up, but I'd already thought that the robot would be a good one, any ideas for a scenario? Has the robot discovered something untoward lurking in a service duct somewhere perhaps?
Do you have that at a bigger res? (Doesn't really matter if not, cos I do repaint it, but it might make things easier).

I can find a bigger one. Well he is a prototype robot that belongs to the GPO, the general post office... and is some sort of maintenance robot.... So something along those lines might be good? I also have a post apocalyptic postman as well if you like Well duh. I was providing a picture for possible manipulation... Sorry bro. I have the dumb. It's fine. We all get stricken with the dumb eventually.

John Strangeway, aka Steampunk Boba Fett hired me to create a more Victorian/Edwardian era craft for him in a painted portrait. This (below) is the result. The original is 32×24 inches, painted in acrylic on canvas More images (closeups and details) here: http://www.mykeamend.com/new/2011/03/07/slave-1881/

greetings one and all. this is my first time posting to this forum and i am enjoying all the great work. i wanted to share some pieces i did. these were are done in ink with washes of different tea flavors. i would love to hear what you all think as i am new to the world of steampunk but have become very inspired by all the creativity inherent in the genre here is a link to my blog where you can see the rest. http://willdraw4fun.blogspot.com/2010/12/super-big-micro-art.htmlcheers!

Lovely (and Tumbld) On a technical note - do you worry that the tea adds to the acidity of the final work? How much, if at all, do you feel this sort of staining effect archival quality?

thanks! love the boba fett by the way! i am unsure of the lasting effects of tea use it was an experiment and i was surprised to see how the hues differed between teas. i drew the ink lines first and then stained the watercolor paper. it did lighten the color of the ink lines a bit but the distressing was my friend in this case. i then went in with watercolor for the rest of the details. time will tell....

Ahoy DBP, Just in time for another one. Cowperthwaite and Darkshines involved in nefarious doings. I'm sure it's in a worthy cause though These are absolutely stunning...this one especially so.

I love both of these, The Bobba Fett Airship is genius (Servant One perhaps . @BK421 I LOVE that character and really like the painting with tea idea, I can't think of a more steampunk medium. I stained paper with tea back in my student days, (Not quite the same thing), but I've lost track of those pieces so I can't report back I'm afraid. It will age differently, but that's not necessarily a bad thing, it may well improve with age. Also I have to say I like your painting style, you have a very assured and light touch with the paint.

Almost forgot to say: the image is inspired by the Clockpunk book "The Fat Rats of Flatland" by Dan Maitland I spoke to the author and received his permission to use the concept for our album
