I find myself attracted to non-American music frequently. At present, it's t.A.T.u and Dschinghis Khan that have my ear most. I suspect E Nomine will slide into there, as well as much of the Symphonic/Fantasy Metal that has so captivated my heart with its melodies.

I'm utterly addicted to Mike Oldfield's Music of the Spheres at the moment, also his Songs of Distant Earth and Ommadawn. Saying that, currently strewn over speakers and floor are: Alice in Chains Mad Season Tool Strangelove The Cure (my teenage lust for Simon Gallup has never abated) Mike Oldfield Goldie Pantera Underworld Dreadzone Slowdive Cypress Hill Massive Attack Various classical lovelinesses Stina Nordenstam Rob Zombie (Mr Phlogiston is the spit of him, hehe!) Leonard Cohen Portishead Smashing Pumpkins Sigur Ros Frank Zappa Anthrax I really need to tidy up

My favourite musical groups are The Decemberists, and Tin Hat Trio, hands down. You cannot beat the music these two groups produce. Although a bit of Abney Park and some odd rock and heavy stuff is always welcome! I'm quite partial to Amon Amarth, if anyone has heard of them?

Plus a lot of video game, movie, and anime soundtracks and individual songs (and things with names that I don’t have the proper variety of keyboard to transcribe). I keep getting told my playlist has no right to exist, but it works for me.

If I played my music from front to back without stopping - i could listen to it for over 2 months straight. I general kick on my whole list on random its not uncommon to have Skinny Puppy turn to Beatles turn to Cannibal Corpse turn to the Beach Boys to Loreena Mckennit so on and so forth. Just about anything.
Lately i've been majojrly obsessing on Vernian Process "Behold the Machine" just absolutely amazing.
Besides that the most commonly played (when I don't just turn it all on random) is Disturbed, The Dr Horrible Soundtrack, The Buffy Once More With Feeling Soundtrack and the Evil Dead the Musical Soundtrack.

So I thought it would be fun to start a thread where people can list bands and what they like/curently be listening too. I didnt see any other threads like this and it would be a great way to discover new bands. Especially since thats what I seam to be spending oh so much time doing as of late. Thers just not too many good bands out there anymore. So anyways. Yeah. I'll starts.
Mostly... descartes a kant Dresdon Dolls Le Tigre Stolen Babies Jack off Jill Human Toys The Locust Crap Attack Holy Molar Schoolyard Heroes Old Showbread aaaaand...Last but not least THUNDERBALL FIST!
Yeah. All of its fun and I advise everyone to go give all these bands a look. Its a really diverse collection of music.
Enjoy.
