Batwings (A Limnal Hymn) by Coil - a song that I dedicated to the first beautiful snowflake that landed on my nose while I cycled along Lake Lucerne this afternoon. Hurrah for snowy mountain tops and steam boats!

Coil lovers will probably know this song already, all others can listen to it here until midnight CET.  Smiley

Quote
[...] A glass of spirits made of ethereal salt, hermetically sealed up
Kept continually in quicksilver, of so volatile a nature
That it will scarcely endure the light
And therefore only shown in winter
Or by the light of a carbuncle, or a firefly [...]

I've also recently got Siouxsie's latest solo album 'Mantaray', of which 'Into a Swan' is a favorite track.

Oh, man. If distance weren't an issue... Angry

But it is, and I'm over here, listening to assorted scratchy 40's music.

At the moment I'm taking a break from copious amounts of Halloween music and sound effects that I'm trying to arrange into a decent long looping track for a local event. I'm syncing up Blue Öyster Cult's "Don't Fear the Reaper" right now to some rather humorous lines from "The Grim Adventures Of Billy and Mandy".

Other than that I've recently re-discovered my love of Machinae Supremacy.

Props to everyone who mentioned Neutral Milk Hotel, Elliott Smith, Indochine, The Divine Comedy, The Handsome Family, and ska.. rokkitgirl, if you haven't heard of Suburban Legends I highly recommend them.

Lately I've been listening to Animal Collective, Bishop Allen, John Vanderslice, Okkervil River, Ryan O'Reilly and the Raindogs, Beirut, etc etc etc. I do a weekly radio show so you can basically pick my musical brain every week when I post my playlists here:
http://www.freewebs.com/horizon_eyes/index.htm

I'm doing an Elliott Smith tribute show in 40 min so I'm listening to him at the moment.
