All of these photos were taken by my dear wife, and are located within an hour of my home.  Enjoy!

Many of these are abandoned distilleries - we've a bunch of those around here.  The others are just random abandoned buildings.  She's a pretty fair photographer and has a large collection of these.  I hope you like them!

The distillery is awesome; it really should be renovated and repurposed. The house with the ceramic roof is kind of cool. The railroad building reminds me of small midwestern towns.

Interesting video Mr. Maets - I take it you gained entry?  The day we were there a guard was present, and he had a dog - it seemed like a bad idea to try and enter!

Mr. Bowman, exactly what is that - a glass paperweight?  I've never seen anything like it!

We have photos of other "attractions" which I will try and post over the next couple of days.

Thanks for the comments!

Your pictures made me curious, so I just googled the place and found the video.

The photo is a whiskey decanter; special edition bottles of that type were a popular collectible in the 1960's.

Mr. Maets, I saw you were in the U.S. and jumped to the conclusion that you might have visited the distillery, my mistake.

Mr. Bowman, a whiskey decanter you say?  Most interesting!
