Judging by the amount with their turrets blown off, there is a serious design/engineering flaw somewhere.
Never ask 'Why?'
Always ask 'Why not!?'

Love the first pic - all that rust against the moss and the living plant.

That's native, Totara I hope it is left to grow.
I would love to see in another 100years.
That bolt is circa 1890's

Nice juxtapositioning, selected. Love the contrast between old metal (nominally 'dead') and live, vibrant green.

Selecta, I mistook the middle picture for a moment.  It looks at first glance to be grave stones.
Imagine steampunk grave stones, like stone threads and gears .

It was a cultural icon here in the 70's and early 80's
Not too many survivors around these times sadly.
Some where made with packing crates and recycled corrugated iron.

Eye nearly better - must be that Irish air!

Good god girl get off the computer.
Hope you have an awesome holiday.

The good old Bedford.
Fond memories of camping trips.
We had a Commer as well but I don't really remember it.

These appear to be abandoned, due to the rust all over their wheel rims and the rails they stand on:
