There seems to be multiple spams from 3 or 4 'new' people - I reported one, but apparently it is too soon to report the others.

Not that I'm complaining (since my banhammer was getting dusty) but I've noticed we seem to be seeing a lot more spammers as of late.

Did we lose some form of protection with the upgrade? Or have we started getting more traffic and are thus making ourselves more noticeable to spam bots?

Suggestion, is it possible to set up some sort of screening process for new members?  Maybe make a few very simple questions part of the process? Would that help kill the bots?

As I said to …umm …someone-or-other, you don't need to report every single spam post, especially if they're all from the same poster.
