Yeah, it is. Think I remember hearing somewhere that the pub's having a fancy dress night and putting karaoke on for it so we could do something there.

Hm..special bloody cocktails.. As long as it's not tomato i'd be interested to try those.

Also i've been talking to Martin Currie about getting a projector for a film night, so hopefully I'll be able to organise that for the next month or so! Then we don't have to relocate for it, can just use the function room upstairs.

It's been a while since I had a decent cocktail, so will have to check those out.

If we are going to hold the film night at the Queen's Head we might have to move it to another night since I understand a local RP group use it on a Thursday.

I was thinking a Saturday or Friday would be better anyway, could invite other groups as well then (Would be easier on people who are working I think..)

Well either of those would work for me in proviso, and it would be nice to get the Lincoln and Manchester lot over again, and would probably work better for them.

Right, steampunk movie night at the Queen's Head- How does the 7th of December sound, and are you all up for doing that? It's mostly important for me to get a date for us regulars to make, then try and attract other people to come along, so just want to make sure before I organise anything Smiley

The 7th is provisionally ok for me. Will have to have a look at the train and bus times (along with the start time) before I can confirm properly.

It's only printed off my printer so not in the right format, but i'll bring it in to show tomorrow. I told you I was actually making it.. Tongue

Suppose we'd better come down then ;-)

Have you got a place to post it online? If not, I am just getting a website up and running & could stick it on there if you like...?

Peter: Couldn't find that website you said about for the zine, so I tried this one, I think it looks nice on there, but what do you all think? Ok with me keeping it on there or would it's own URL be better (Dave: If we'd be able to do that using your site?)

lientie> I don't know if the zine would have its own URL (any more than it does on ISSUU I mean) - my site is just piggy-backing off a friend's domain at the moment, so whatever URL it ended up with wouldn't be particularly memorable.

Is ISSUU just webspace you get given at Sheffield Uni then? If so you may be as well off with that for the time being - the offer's still there though!

Nah it's a website for publishing zines online, quite a nice site actually, i've been going through and  reading a few. Because I designed it for print it did go a bit odd in the layout though..

Peter: Do you still think you'd be able to get hold of a projector/screen?

About the film night, it's Christmas markets in Lincoln that weekend and something happening in Manchester too, so not really had any interest in people coming over for it. Can carry on an organise it anyway for us and see who turns up, but let me know if you think rearranging to another date would be better..
