This is a cheap fancy-dress pipe of my wife’s which got broken. I asked her if I could take it to the Asylum if I mended it and she said ‘yes’. The original plan was just to fix it with a band around the middle and then it kind of got away from me.

The kraken is made from Milliput. The wings are charms intended for jewelery making.

No reason a fancy steampunk pipe can't be in the Great Exhibition.

Have you tried smoking the pipe? I wonder how the Milliput breathes and/or/handles heat. I'd imagine it'll lend itself to being held by the stem and not the bowl, like a clay pipe.

Milliput is an epoxy plastic, it burns and smells foul. It would be for demonstration purposes unless you could build up around a proper pipe.

I'm afraid that even if the Milliput could take it, the pipe is only a cheap plastic prop. Lighting it would probably be quite painful.
