Not sure if this is the right place for it, it is a prop before consumable (unless your the kind of person that likes drinking flat, 3 year old rootbeer.)

A small project I did for my Illustration class usinf adobe illustrator. Project was designing a drink and its label. I took it a step further and actually found a bottle for the label and filled it with the drink. ROCKETEER, the rootbeer of tomorrow!

What does a bottle of 3 year old root beer cost these days?

"Rocketeer"- Tastes like aviation fuel.

Great label, though.

Very nice design there, although I personally would like it better on an Imperial Stout (actual rocket fuel!)

A stout is a bit thick for a rocket fuel....

whiskey.... anything but single malt Irish whiskey. That's for drinking.

I'd reckon that depends on your 'rocket'   Shocked

"Rocketeer ... That'll burn yer britches"

Agreed regarding the single malt ...

Thanks all of you for the great replies, reception and critiques. Was a little wary of posting things up again since my last appearance and work got some not quite desired and some down right rude responses. But it looks like you are a more classy and educated lot and for that I thank you Smiley

Sorry you ran into some... (well, I didn't see any of it, so I don't know what to call it). Anyways, fun design, is there more on the back, or is it mostly front veiw?

“Carl the Ripper” just doesn’t have the same ring.

You did such a good job, I thought that maybe there really was a Rocketeer Rootbeer!

Watch out, there is a full moon tonight, and I have not hear from "League Of STEAM" in a while.
So, go my the store and get some "Silver Bullets".  Wink

What about sealing cap with wax like they do with wine bottles and maybe trace "Beeman's Gum" into it.  For "luck" after all!  ...and so the liquid contents don't leak and catch fire  Wink

Any chance of a copy of the label to go with the collection from last century?

@VampirateMace: Thanks man, and no all there is is the front logo. Was thinking of adding a nutritional chart later on during my classes but it never came to fruition. The riveted border goes all the way around though.

@SPBrewer: Thanks, that is very kind of you Cheesy Was thinking of sending my application into them, but it turns out they have a ombie hunter already so....

@Colonel Falchion: Hmmm, wax eh? Tht could work, but wouldn't it mess with the flavor? Perhaps an application of super heated liquid adhessive repainted as wax?

@A. Pettyengineer: I could post it, but then I'd have to hunt you down like a dog in the streets. Just kidding, let me think about it. You know, the whole copywrite stealing thing and all. Though I did have an idea for a Crankshaft Cola label I've wanted to do for a while....

it would be a good label for those ceramic stopper bottles. I have a couple purchased from a couple of civil war reenactments.  my bottles are cobalt blue  but I have a couple of brown bottles in brown, they just use corks. you could probably find them even cheaper online, I think I paid less than $7 for them filled with homemade rootbeer.
the nice thing aboutthe ceramic stopper is that it has a rubber seal and a wire latch so that it holds the fizz just fine. the corks are kinda risky with carbonation.
