RFB proudly presents Project: Bedlam - A steampunk Halloween night in Preston, Lancashire.

A long time a go a well meaning, if misled, doctor saw the potential of the insane to still benefit mankind through their research.
On October 26th their first symposium opens in 53 Degrees, one of Preston's largest venues.
Here you may meet and interact with the likes of the chief surgeon and his nurse, investigating the benefits of electricity upon patients.
The Re-animator, incarcerated for killing her husband (and failing to immediately bring him back).
The bitten vampire hunter and the toy maker turns serial killer, whilst The Warden and his orderlies over see the event.

Music will be played to soothe the inmates, from DJing favourites to the living dead performance of Jackdaws, covering Halloween favourites.

Special guest therapist: Professor Elemental

I would like to assure you all rumours that the inmates have over thrown the real staff and taken over have been completely blown out of proportion.

---------

This is the largest steampunk event we have hosted to date. We've aimed to make something special for Halloween, on the theme of a steampunk asylum, where the inmates are still able to research their trades.
Doors open from 8pm and the event continues till 2am.
Advance tickets may be purchased for £8 (£12 on door) in person in Preston, or via Skiddle; http://www.skiddle.com/whats-on/Preston/53-Degrees/RFB-3-Project-Bedlam/11695208/

The night features;
Four sets, as in a science exhibition, each with interactive actors representing medical staff and inmates, over seen by The Warden on stage/DJing.
"Wandering" characters, mingling with customers to build the atmosphere, including the close up magic performer Magi'Chris, in full occult/steampunk character
A selection of stalls selling steampunk wares (jewellery, accessories, art works, props, clothing etc)
Live performance from the band Jackdaws, as steampunk zombies, covering Halloween hits
Professor Elemental, as a visiting therapist with new and classic material

All in the huge 53 Degrees, Preston.

We hope to see you there, and if you've any questions don't hesitate to ask!
You can find out more by contacting us at www.facebook.com/The.Haberdash, e-mailing The.Haberdash@gmail.com or visiting the FB event page; https://www.facebook.com/events/399066930156642/

All the best!

Ah, thank you kindly!
A very generous friend of our (Beard Burrito on Youtube) did the art work for the poster for us this time.

Though you can't make it, thanks for checking it out - and I hope you'll keep an eye on this thread over the coming month, as we're aiming to release stills and videos for the event (as well as the footage from the night itself when it's done) - should be fun watching!

We're bringing this together, now!
Props are being made and polished, actors are rehearsing their scripts, tickets are selling!
Soon we'll have some official stills and trailers to help promote the event. In the mean time, from the artist that brought us the original still, we have our new splash screen animation I thought I'd share, just to get you in the Halloween mood!

Folks interested in attending from near and afar

Premier Inn (Preston city centre) is offering rooms from £19 - £24 in advance at the moment, and worth checking out.
Other (and possibly cheaper) B&Bs are also available.

If you're visiting the North West for this event we highly recommend staying another night to visit the nearby AtmosFear ScareKingdom

The UK's largest horror theme park with a variety of interactive shows and ghoulish performances with live actors, corn maze and bar.

Make this Halloween one to remember for steampunk, horror and steampunk horror!

RFB3 - Project: Bedlam - Professional Photography and unique sets!

This ball, we've done something much more
grand for you!
As part of the over all theme we are constructing four custom steampunk/gothic sets (please see descriptions below)

Though you can take photos of the performers during their activities, you can also request a professional photo from the talented Dark Dude Photography (he will also have a booth in the vendors area with props). He'll even have on site printing!

These (price tbc - digital, hardcopy, onsite print) allow you to go ON set and pose for photography whilst interacting with our steampunk creations - and even our actors in full costume!

Whether you're an explorer, airship captain, occultist or just seeing what it's all about, there's sure to be a set for you to enjoy this unique experience!

The Surgeon (the classic mad scientist with a twist, featuring big ol' main switches, plasma discharge, operating theatre).

The Re-Animator (A Herbert West meets Frankenstein feel, with a body, jars of experiments and lots of glowing green liquids)

The Vampire Hunter (a Victorian study, dedicated to research on the occult)

The Toy Maker (all clockwork and classic workshop/study).

I can't wait for this event. Tickets are purchased and my outfit is ready to go. Looking forward to seeing all these creations in the flesh (or is that brass).

Thanks chaps! Looking forwards to seeing you there!

Here's something to further excite and entice.

Professor Elemental has just advised me that as well as appearing in keeping with our Asylum theme he is bringing new games to tie in to the theme AND unveiling NEW never before heard material at this event!

With less than a fortnight left to get tickets (selling fast now!) we're sharing some more information about the characters in Project Bedlam through our new shiny Wikia.

Have a look, and if nothing else enjoy the stories (and ignore the draft spelling)
