Good day to you all,

I have been slowly but surely putting together a number of outfits allowing me to chop and change depending on what I am doing and to match my mood..

http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.187108501420784.42075.100003649077987&type=3&l=5c0081048e (it's open to the public)

There is a little more to add but you get the general idea of the look I'm trying to convey.  Perhaps you could add a comment or two as I'm still very much open to ideas.

My thanks good people.

Fair skies!

That grey coat with the black trim is to be envied, as is the velvet tailcoat.

Is the leather(?) hat part of the gas mask, or is it separate?

I thank you Gentlemen, can I assume I am on the right track then?  I have one or two more ideas and I will post more pictures when I get a chance.

Will, the Shacko is leather and separate to the mask and goggles but are designed to clip together to make a 'one piece'.  I had the hat specially made as I wanted it to be exactly how I wanted it...  I think it came out very well indeed.

You first outfit (with the hat and mask) is what I am aiming for though I have a very high instep so the boots are impossible for me to wear  Sad  I love those belts where did you pick them up from?

Very dashing attire indeed sir! Might I ask where you acquired the mask or was it handmade?

MMmmm!

Hi Trillion,

Do you have a waistcoat?  You could add one to the brown leather set, maybe, as it gets chillier in the early evenings.  Your wonderful leather boots might like to be a little fancier some days too.  You could add a leather ankle strap or some puttees or spats in a contrasting or complementary colour.

I like the one wrist bracer.  Is it decorative or practical - I cannot see in your pictures.

I'd very much like to see a pic of your back in those fine coats - are they fitted or straight?

Thanks for the kind comments and the ideas,

Cpt Wallace - The belts are in fact a harness set up, made by a very nice chap by the name Paulo who resides in Italy (ETSY link: https://www.etsy.com/shop//PhysicalArt) and you can see a good picture of it on my Facebook Page.

Amos - the mask, hat and goggles were all made to order by another damn fine chap, this time in Israel - Erih Mann.  Excellent craftsmanship and well worth a look.  (ETSY link: https://www.etsy.com/shop//MannAndCo).

Frances dear Lady - I currently have a waistcoat being made up for me and it's very much an old military design with wide epaulets.  I'll post a picture or two when it's finished.  The boots?  I picked up a set of appropriate leather spats but they need a bit of work before I use them - again, pictures to follow.  And the bracer is to my own design 'Imperial Constabulary' - an outline of the design is on my facebook if you want to see.  Both the jackets are fitted as I wanted a more formal look to them - the trousers have gone back in as well to get a more fitted look to them.  They are works in progress at the moment so there will be lots more pictures in due course.

Ktara - best of luck my Lady - I think half the fun is making the outfits up anyway!

Mine should all be finished by the end of this month - they better be as I'm taking them to the Asylum!  See you all there perhaps?

Fair skies!

Indeed it did.  Can you post photos of you wearing the two items separately?  I'd like to see the shako without the mask, & the mask by itself as well.  They look great together, but please let us see them individually as well.

Will, of course I will my friend.  However sir, it will be a while as I am currently ensconced in the dust and heat of Mesopotamia.... Back in Blighty at month's end with a view to a few more photographs for the fashion show.

Fair skies!

Oh I like being called 'dear lady'  How nice of you Trillion.  Will see your outfits at Asylum then.  Do we all walk around with our online names on our backs so we get recognised??

I too am in the middle of WIP - if only I could stop wanting to talk to you on here I would have progressed a bit further by now!

Isn't that half the fun though?  Figuring out who you have been talking to all this time and then finally meeting them?

I will do my damdest to track you all down!

Professor, Uncle Arthur - thank you for your kind comments.  I have to admit, the grey jacket was a fantastic find.. never come across anything like it before.  I shall of course be wearing it at the Asylum.

Fair skies!

Excellent collection of clothing sir. I am a little concerned about the mask though, it looks a little scary to me.
