Hello everyone!

I am new to the steampunk scene and need some advice.
I have a basic pair of goggles (made out of plastic) and some gears that I would like to attach to them. So, what would be the best way of doing so? thank you for the help!

It would help to know more about the goggles because there are a lot of options.....multiple kinds of glue, screws, rivets.....

and I could not help but think of this....

Rub 'n Buff is sold in most craft stores. There are quite a few metallic tones - gold, brass, bronze, copper - and it sticks to plastic well. That will at least make your goggles not be black or green.

Prof. Cogsworthy is right. Think about why the gear needs to be there and if it doesn't, dont use it.

Nothing wrong with a plain 'ol pair of brass goggles.

Welcome aboard CopperPipes.  Like the others have said, just puttign gears on something is a good way to get made fun of by more experienced Steampunks.  You'd be better off saving the gears for some mechanical device and instead giving your goggles a metal finish and attaching leather trim, metal rings, fittings, rivets bolts, etc.

Best suggestion is to browse the forum and the internet for examples of "Steampunk goggles" to gather ideas.
