I was thinking something like this in terms of basic hull shape and scale. (with a little different external layout. The bridge windows would be a little higher, and I'm thinking the hold door would be recessed under the prow at a sloping angle.) I'm thinking the ship was originally a German military scout/transport, and was originally designed to look sleek in a sort of 'elegant but brutal' style. Sawtooth-style fins were added at some point after the ship's capture, mainly just to make it look more intimidating. I've been trying to come up with an overall drawing but haven't had any luck getting it to look right. if you want to try drawing it feel free.

Interesting. You know, that vaguely resembles a ship I came up with for an airbrush project 'way back when I was taking Commercial Art courses. I'll see if I can scare it up and scan it...

Nope, it's gone to far stars (no pun intended) now. I think I remember throwing it out about four years ago, now that I think about it. Sorry about that. I'll try to render something from the above and your description in the next couple or few days.

Next episode in just a bit...
If others are good with it, we can do a timejump to near the end of our rest in Tranquility, and have a day or so in-game to do stuff there while I set up the next story.

I think the walker might have to stay in storage for this one, unless there's a planet-side sequence...

Roger can probably fit the frankenstein walker he's building with some fancy thingus that can make it walk on the side of ships in space if you want.

That would certainly be interesting. I don't suppose he could fit the old walker with a new gun, say, a maxim or a mount for a raygun... Bailey's not being intentionally mean to Roger, by the way, he just doesn't like to have men sitting in his lap.

We're not, we're on Talon's bike , which has a sidecar in which Bailey is riding; Lou's hanging on for dear life behind Talon.

This what I've come up with so far, for the Sabertooth's Ship's Portrait: Let me know if any changes are needed. The round half-ball blisters with lines across them are the gunports(they open like eyelids, more or less).

That looks cool. Poor Lou has been given the bad perm I had in the third grade. It is not quite an afro but it is very fluffy and makes her look younger than she is which she hates. I figure the indutreal moon coloneys work with company credit insted of cash for the same way mines did. So it is harder for the workers to leave taking their knowlage with them.

Thanks! I'm tempted to do a larger version of it on canvas, but that will be a bit before i can scare all the materials up again.

Our monitor connection is dodgy and getting worse by the moment, and does not respond well to typing (shakes the desk and makes the connection let go, thus no picture until we move it around into some odd position). So, I guess I'll be having to take it slow the next few days until we can figure out a workable fix for it. Still going to post and all, but will have to deal with the monitor 'on the fly,' so to speak. just a heads up.
Also: as usual, my characters' speeches, comments and actions are in character only; he's ostensibly first officer (2nd in command), so he has to handle such matters as keeping the crew in line while on leave, etc. I didn't mean any disrespect to you, Steamcowboy.

Lou has amazing dark vision now but it makes welding and metal work painfull. I figure she is frustrated enough to spen some of the money she had been saving for the forge to make it less painfull.
