Does anyone know if the brass door handles with a lever called  (Victorian door handles)
are actually victorian? did they have these?

I have seen such on doors of houses of the period.  Certainly that design is very close, and since there would have been many makers, I am sure that door set would be indistinguishable from the originals, after taking into account patination and aging.

It depends a bit on where in the world you are talking about. In the UK Victorian door furniture never looked like those - for starters the door rim latch (often with locking bolt) was fitted on the room side door surface, and the keep mounted along side on the frame. Those handles pictured use an internal mortice latch / lock.

Genuine ones look similar to this (internal and exterior doors):




Also they nearly always used door knobs like the above image, I've never come across a handle yet - though they did exist, just not usually in the average UK household.
