Problem with new account...

So I decided a few months back to change my username on most of my online stuff, as texanromaniac no longer fits me. Since I only had three posts under this account and I saw that name changes were not usually allowed, I set up a new account using a different email address and activated it. That was yesterday.

This evening I tried to log on to my new account and it said that my username did not exist. So I tried to request a new password using the email address associated with my new account and it also did not recognize it. So I go to my email and find the activation email and clicked on the link and get a "you have already activated this account" message!!

So which is it? Does my new account not exist, or has it/has it not been activated?

My new username is supposed to be Rainey Daye...and I can provide the email address associated with it as well.

Can't remember the exact time of day, but it was sometime Wednesday (and I am in the US...Central Standard Time).
