Although the other participating states have already had it, Melbourne shall be last, but not least to have the first official comic con in Australia.

Some fantastic guests will be there including Patrick Stewart, Stan Lee, and more steampunk (particually for the Browncoats like myself) Sean Maher will be there, who plays Simon Tam in Firefly.

Cosplay is allowed, and if I can make it I'll surely be wearing suitable steampunk attire. Hopefully will see some fellow Melbournians there?

Thank you! I think Jason Momoa's presence means my wife won't let us *not* go.

I guess we'll have to plan what to wear... decisions decisions...

Went there - tick
Wife met Jason Momoa - Big tick
Listened to Sean Maher - tick
Saw other steampunks - weak tick

There were a few of you there but with all the chaos and queues, I could do no more than a nod or a tip of hat. A few stores had goggles or hats or jewellery and one had gothic clothing but that was as close as it was.

Will be back tomorrow but in tshirt. My body cannot stand for two days in my steam clothing.

ps. Sean Maher in response to a question said Firefly was a Western genre but set up by science fiction. That makes it even more Wild Wild West to me.
