I suspected as much. If you think about it, they were completely diffrent people with diffrent goals and strengths, who really never should have been compared in the way they are. Like all historical figures the myths and facts surrounding them have become a bit cloudy.

Several modern detectives now claim that “Jack the Ripper” was actually named Carl.
“Carl the Ripper” just doesn’t have the same ring.

It does annoy me how Tesla is seen as the messiah by some. Nice to see some balance to this.

Quite entertaining ...

The truth's in the article bear this point .... a great mind can come up with loads of new and useful ideas, but only a true genius can refine them and muster the resources to bring them to practicality.

Mr. Edison was a master of the latter (mustering, refining and whatnot)

'ol Mark Twain's quote really spells that out.

Turns out the Forbes article is a response to a recent comic by The Oatmeal -

Why Nikola Tesla was the greatest geek who ever lived

The author of the comic has posted his own rebuttal to the Forbes article -

 Response to the Forbes article

And so it goes...

Yes, Lachlan, I saw that.

I'd acturally read The Oatmeal comic before that too, and thought a couple of times, "Wait, that isn't right."

I think it's turning out rather amusingly.
The Oatmeal is known for being hyperbolic to the point of absurdity. If you ever doubted that, look at the video recently released (which I can't even post the name of for language NSFW-ness).
