I'm new to SteamPunk but loving it so far.  My budget is pretty tight, but I'm going to WorldCon in Denver next week.  I'm hoping to see some SteamPunk there.  I don't know that I'll be able to dress much yet, but I'm going to have a good time.

Anyone going to be there?  I'd love to have a chance to see and meet some other SteamPunks.

WorldCon moves around.

It is in Chicago this year, San Antonio, Texas next year and is undecided for 2014 although London is putting in a strong bid.

Nice, and explains why I couldn't find it in Colorado. and we're fans of Texas after our visit, a very sociable group the Illumination Society.

Mile Hi Con is the major Denver SF con - 44 years and counting. This year's GoH is Cherie Priest, so I suspect there will be a strong Steampunk flavor this year (though last year had plenty of steamy programming, too!).

I was remembering that the Mile Hi Con organizers were heavily involved in the WorldCon production in 2008, but I'm unable to verify that independently.

BB Blackdog - it was a definite pleasure chatting with you at AnomalyCon this year. Would welcome you back to Colorado anytime!
