This is now a two day event. Saturday will consist of a market opening its doors 11am and trading until 5pm, with a raffle drawn on the hour, every hour, with steamy prizes to be won!

Sunday the market doors open at 11am and trade until 3pm, with board game tournaments in the back room. We will shut down until 7.30pm with the band Victor Sierra playing! (Also a burlesque performer who is unconfirmed). We will then have music going on until the pub kicks us out for all you night owls Smiley

Entry is £1 for the market on Saturday and Sunday, and £3 for the evening entertainment. Simply turn up on the day and pay on the door. If you are coming from outside Wales and wish to book a place in advance, please contact me via the email address below to be allocated a ticket number.

Want to trade? Let me know! Two day pitch is £10, one day £5!
Want to perform on the Sunday! Let me know your fee and act via email at celticroseart@hotmail.co.uk

If you want any further info or feel I have left something out, let me know!

Trading pitches are going super fast, I can only take jewelers on a waiting list now in case someone drops out. I would love some clothing traders, especially corsets, hats or gentlemen's wear!

Now have a psychic booked, to tell your fortune in case you are in need of guidance! This is fast becoming a traveling show with a market attached, lol!

This all sounds jolly interesting. Can't guarantee that I can make it, but very much hope I can. (do you need any bands?)

The Memsahib and I would dearly have liked to join you. Sadly we are already committed elsewhere for that weekend.

We wish you the very best of luck for a splendid first market, and will keep an eye out for future repeats.

Best of luck with this. I can't gaurantee that Xa and I will be there but I'm checking the diary and working out whether a couple of days in a hotel in Cardiff might be an excuse for a nice short break.

It's only a couple of hours drive really.

Well we are now holding an Official Tea Duel (with a trophy to be won!) and have a lovely chap from the Games Workshop coming over to teach some painting techniques for those into modelling and art Smiley

Sadly Marc can't make it, he is off to Bonnie Scotland to tickle some ribs, but we may have two more bands playing instead. It is going to be awfully loud fun! Cheesy

I am full for jewelry traders, but if you sell something else and want a pitch, don't hesitate to contact me. Especially looking for clothing of any sorts and items for gentlemen, who tend to get overlooked!

Please do! We have a deal going with the Jolyons hotel on Cathedral Road that anyone booking who is part of the Cardiff Steampunk Market can have discounted rooms (some are half price!) and if we can book out the whole hotel on Sunday night, they can discount even further! So if you are looking for accommodation, let me know and I can give them the figures this weekend Smiley

Right guys, super serious post here. I just had the landlord of the Owain on the phone. Apparently some of you were in last week, chatting to the bar man about steampunk, which is great. But the subject of weapons came up and left the landlord a a little skeptical. We almost lost the venue for our market because he thought you were gun toting gangsters bringing guns into the city centre. So now I am imposing a ban on ANY kind of weaponry at the Cardiff Steampunk Market unless it is clearly a toy/fantasy weapon, or you will be barred. I now have to email the owner of the pub chain with exactly what we are planning, and I hope we are still welcome there and I don't have to find a new venue! Not cool, guys!

Happy to say we are now completely full for traders unless you make GOGGLES or GADGETS. We are still welcome in the pub, so lets charm the people of Cardiff and show them how splendid we can be!

Perhaps you should start practicing your Tea Dueling skills? Or think of a question that only our resident psychic can answer? We may actually have some live steam as well (if the council are nice!)

I recommend camping at the site in town, don't know how practical that would be for traders, mind.... I can store stuff at my place overnight though!

Traders can leave items in a secure room in the pub overnight, offer open to bands and performers as well, so no trapsing around town with precious items!

Not long to go now folks, I hope you are as excited as I am!
