Here is a new and unique Ipod Boom Box.  Will work with any sound source with an headphone jack.  Battery powered, but can easily be USB powered by your computer. Voltmeter shows remaining battery voltage.  Stereo flat panel speakers for great sound and plenty of volume.  Battery powered clock.  This piece is based on several gears and the top of a 100 lb propance tank.  Labeled Standard Oil of NJ.

This piece is probably too heavy to be carried around to your next picinic, so no handle.  The design was driven by the great flat panel speakers I got at Best Buy a few weeks ago. Rear brass plate is hinged to allow access to the batteries.  Clock uses 1 AA, while speakers use 4 AA batteries.

Thank you kindly, gents.

I will be uploading a video later today. Unfortunately, I can't get either of my cats interested in it, or the dog for that matter.

Very nice stuff.....again!  Grin

BTW did you get to read my reply to your voltmeter question before the forum crash wiped it from BG ?

The answers were basically :

Yes, but won't work properly for rechargeables (NiCad / NiMH etc), they use another method of determining remaining charge.

and:

the milliammeter will only use a couple of milliamps at most, so nothing to worry about there. and Yes its fine to use for battery devices, just as long as the device you are measuring doesnt require more than the meter's scale. 1000mA is 1Amp, 500mA is 1/2 an Amp etc.  Wink

Thanks! and thanks for the info. The info must have been lost in the crash.  I went ahead and used the voltmeter in this one and have several ampmeters for other projects.
