I'm not going to Waltham, the museum was unavailable and my only option was to purchase exhibition space as a vendor. Have fun.

For gears with random movements take a Coo coo clock gear system and replace the main spring with a slow motor and remove the escapement assembly to allow it to spin freely

This project is complete, and on Etsy I'm calling it The Steampunk Mind. I decided to keep it simple, to avoid extra motors and power supplies and the need for a larger base. I like the existing base. This will also keep the cost down, I can happily sell this for $400...if it had elaborate gear trains inside it would cost much more. In addition to the plasma brain, the head has optic hardware, goggles, a speech element and hearing receptors.

Have you considered putting one of your Orion Lumia (smaller version of course  Smiley ) inside.?

Oh...my old war wound? I got that at The Battle of Dorking. Very nasty affair that was, I can tell you.

Here is what is inside the Orion Lumia. The compromise to projection capability would not be worth it.
