I have an Android tablet and an android phone. Most of my friends do as well.  We are not wealthy enough for apple,  blackberry or other fruity OS.

I would like to organize a road trip for several folks. I thought it would be nice to play a RPG on the road, with the GM using the tablet as a GM screen, and the players using their phones as character sheets.

Are there any old school RPG players with thoughts on what apps to use or avoid?

Well I am an android user and occasional RPG'er. Unfortunately, the only RPG related app I have occasion to use on my automaton powered mobile telephonic device is a level counter for Munchkin.

There are plenty of dice rollers, some of which come with the option to predefine a whole roll (for example 4d5 (keep highest 3) +3) and assign them to a single button for fast rolling, but to my knowledge there aren't any decent "whole rpg" experience apps. I'd be interested on knowing if there are though!

Part of my vexation is separating paper and pencil RPGs from first person shooters and rocket propelled grenades.
