We're in the final running for the Hard Rock Rising Battle of the bands, a chance to play Hyde Park in London and a huge festival, and we could really use your help. Hey guys,

One more appeal, I don't want to spam a board I have tremendous respect for, so after this I'll just answer questions, but please, hear me out.

I know some of you know me as an old friend, some as family, and some as a new acquaintance, and others, not at all. I'm sending this with the hopes of appealing to you on an individual level. I need your help, and I need it badly. They say opportunity knocks once, and well, that tap has come to my door in the form of a Battle of the Bands. My group, an indie steampunk group called The Dustin Kahlil Band, has made it into the final running and we need votes to make it through. Voting is free and there are no other obligations involved...just a couple of mouse clicks is all it takes and you could very well help push us up to where we need to be to win this thing and go to London.

For me, this is no longer about my band winning, it is an underdog struggle to achieve, to represent all the other underdogs out there, to help my home which I love be represented on a global stage, and a chance, just maybe, to finally wrap my fingers around a dream that has been in my heart since I was twelve years old.

Just an update, we are currently in the number three spot out of 86 bands across the globe!, Voting goes till the 24th!

Down to the end of all this, and let me tell you, it has been a vicious fight. It all ends on the 24th at midnight EST. The support we have received and the new friends we have made have been amazing, and a lot of this has reminded me why I love the steam community! We still need the help till this thing ends, there is a big push being made by our competitors and we need to follow through so as not to get bumped out of the running here at the end. I promise this is the last you will hear of all this. With mere hours till the end of this, we are making our final push to stay in the running. The other groups are making this a tooth and nail fight, but we believe in what we are doing with all of our hearts. The support we have found within the steam community makes me so proud to be among your ranks, and in many ways, we have shown the world through the victories we have had that this is not simply a fad, but an actual movement of both heart and mind. My dear friends, we actually managed to pull this off! We finished out #4 in the world and #1 in the US. This has been a true David and Goliath story, as our market was the absolute smallest in the competition. We could not have achieved this without all the help we had from friends and fans, family, and the steam community. You guys made this worthwhile, and from myself and the rest of the band, we thank you!
