Looks great to me Bill. OMG you look enough like a cousin of mine that it's spooky! Especially as his name is Bill.

That is odd that the name matches up, I must have a doppelgänger running about. Or perhaps it is I who is the doppelgänger?

Thought I would post my everyday wear, although not entirely Steampunk, it is certainly steam influenced. Aha, the trusty flat cap. I use them a lot to add a little Victorian flair to more casual everyday clothes too.

I'm thinking this thread needs a theme song: I am quite surpirsed that Max Raabe hasn't made a recording of "Sharp Dressed Man". Unless he has and I some how missed it. And everyone looks remarkably smashing. I felt this video to be apropos in response to your comment. Jeremy Brett Sherlock Holmes--Sharp Dressed Man Aka, the late, great Jeremy Brett working the heck out of Victorian gentlemen's attire as Sherlock Holmes to the tune in question. Enjoy! Oh I agree. A Max Raabe cover would be the best thing ever. Thank you for the video btw, great fun. got me to head to Youtube to search.
Its a mixture of periods, but there are some fine looking gentlemen in this collection. And oh yes, everyone continues to look amazing!

Very atmospheric. Do you have an item of appropriately steam'ed weaponry you can casually rest on your shoulder in that pose? Apologies for posting a pic in same/similar outfit as before, but this one has proved popular on my FB account. Taken at Waltz on the Wye last weekend. "Danced like a loony. Drank like a badger. Posed like a tart".

It's like saying when you try to extrapolate the end of the universe, you say, if the universe is indeed infinite, then how - what does that mean? How far is all the way, and then if it stops, what's stopping it, and what's behind what's stopping it? So, what's the end, you know, is my question to you."

More pics from the 2012 Steampunk World's Fair: All dandied up. The top hat, frock coat and puff tie were all hand made by yours truly. Dressed for the Highland backsword workshop with Professor Mark P. Donnelly. Assisting Professor Donnelly at the workshop. Here we were demonstrating footwork... I assure you we had swords in hand eventually! Our gang. That's me missus to my right, with the fascinator and black blouse.

A pic of me as Major Aleksander Borkowska from the 2012 Steampunk World's Fair this past weekend in New Jersey: Good lord, I love your jacket! Thank you kindly. Dr. West! It's a combined effort on the part of my wife and I. It started out in 2010 as a sleeveless tunic, then I added the sleeves last year. This year I finally added the epaulettes and plastron. It's sewn from the McCall's Civil War uniform pattern.

My lady and I finally made our way over to the historic Fort Davis this past week: We also hiked the Lost Mines Trail (as pictured below) and the Windows Trail in the Big Bend National Park

I imagine its almost impossible to NOT feel like you're in the old west. a few of the family at Waltz on the Wye 2012 myself sporting facial hair grown for the occasion the full outfit The whole family all dressed (even a 13 year old who thinks he's 'too cool' to dress up) Little 'un in her steampunk jetpack The family looks great! No idea if its intentional, but your cool 13 year old has the makings of an excellent Torgo outfit.

You look absolutely fantastic! I completely approve of your taste in characters, and you executed that outfit wonderfully, I have to say. It's so great to see a really good Sweeney Todd. And what a lineup you got together!

Thank you kindly... Mr Sparrow is a good friend of mine and Elvira is ... well Elvira. She was at the event as a guest signing autographs. I must say she does still look rather fetching for a lady of her years and was most gracious.

Not as of yet but they do exist. This was the first one that surfaced. So it's been a while but if anyone is still interested....again dress by House of Canney https://www.facebook.com/HouseOfCanney and image by the very talented Thomas Dodd https://www.facebook.com/ThomasDoddPhotography
