This is me with my new haircut wearing one of the new monogoggles I made. What I save in hair conditioner gets eaten by sunscreen and dome polish. The image links to a bigger version.

I must say you look remarkably like a fellow peer in one of institutional classes.

That's entirely possible. I believe we're both located in Washington State. Where do you attend school?

Ah nope, I got my BFA at Washington State University and now I'm after an AAT in Graphic Design at Clark College in Vancouver Washington. It's strange, I've been getting a lot of the "You look just like someone I know" bit lately.

Ah, but which of you is the evil twin?

I've been thinking, it may not be that I have any evil doppelgängers running rampant, but it may have more to do with the sneaking suspicion that I could have left the clone-inator running at my vacation lair...

SPWF was incredible this year, and I was impressed with you and your lady as you strolled the grounds.  Bravo sir, for keeping the "punk" in steampunk!

This is costume designed, made and modeled by Zoetrope and photgraphed and shopped by myself - I also made the gun used in the shots.

Compared to most outfits here, this is very simple but I thought I'd share because I feel I managed to evoke a casual steampunk feel despite wearing jeans, modern knit-wear and a denim waistcoat AT THE SAME TIME.

Must be the authentic Victorian mourning brooch and actual Victorian grave-dirt on my boots (yup I've been gardening in the cemetery again) that let me pull it off!

The outerwear helped a bit too. I am loving owning a trench-coat again!

Do you guys approve or have I gravely offended with my modernity? Pistols at dawn?

Hi Flightless Phoenix,

Is that a hair brooch with woven blond hair in the middle?  It is a bit difficult to see on my computer.

The hair is light brown. The surround is Jet =] My mum brought it for me from an antique shop as a well done present for upgrading to PhD. My research is about Victorian funerary practices so it was very appropriate!

My first complete outfit. However, the colors are not very steamy. I have a spiced up version floating around somewhere.

If there is an opportunity for treachery and skulduggery I'm sure he would be more than willing to join.
