I know this is a crazy question but does anyone here happen to work at an auction house (Unique Antiques) in  Lincoln? I ask as when watching todays episode of the Antiques Road Trip on BBC2 I noticed they had the countries best dressed porter/assistant auctioneer and thought if that chap isnt a steampunk he should be. Sharply decked out in what looked like a frock coat, double cuffed shirt etc and with the hairstyle and facial hair of Charles Dickens to boot (though he was a young chap) it made me smile to see him anyway.

Cheers whoever you are sir  Smiley

My detective work (well google) has fond some photos on there website

I suspect you're referring to a very good friend of mine from Uni.  He's not only a Chap but an excellent fellow.

-Addendum- yes, definitely.  He did in fact mention he'd be on it...

Persons intending to travel by open carriage should select a seat with their backs to the engine, by which means they will avoid the ashes emitted therefrom, that in travelling generally, but particularly through the tunnels, prove a great annoyance; the carriage farthest from the engine will in consequence be found the most desirable.

Yes, we saw this and though the same.  He actually reminded me of Chekov (the writer not the cod-Russian driving the old Enterprise).  Unforced style, he looked like this was his natural way of being.  Long may he thrive!
