What do the two plates on the top front say?

Yes , you could just make a wooden pedestal for it with a brass plate describing it.

It is definitely 'found' art, so why seek to improve upon perfection?

Sometimes the thing itself is exemplary.

Once you've measured the Zeitgeist, I hope you intend to capture it and place it on Public Exhibition.
Also, beware of those hucksters who would try to use the findings of your device to justify some implausible course of action or nostrum as a remedial panacea to all of the worlds ills.

I'd hate to see the Zeitgeistometer become a 'Deus ex Machina'.

Such are the feeble bases on which many a public character rests.

Construction of illegal outdoor Privvys on common land a speciality. Our customers always come back.

Classic!

Oh well - my newly restored device has just au combed to a purchase offer I could not refuse (which will fund the Queensland exhibition devices), it now resides in a local cafe next to the coffee machine, where the zeitgeist levels peak.
