Good day, night or evening to you all. I have recently discovered a lovely leather bound notebook which I was unaware I had in my possession.  I am now tempted to start documenting the exploits of my persona and have the notebook as part of my outfit. I thought i would ask people if they had ever done a similar thing and if they had any ideas for adventures, places to visit, people to encounter, gadgets and weapons to use.

What I have so far is my persona's background. His name is Captain Dimitri Marco Eisensturm, the year is 2200, about 150 years after the apocalypse. This was brought about by weapons of mass destruction (not nukes though) created by the warring nations of WWI in 1952. Yes, that's right, in this history the war went on for 38 years. The world is slowly building itself from the dust using steam power and clockwork along with salvaged technology from before the end days. Captain Marco was once a member of a powerful family in Uhrwerkstadt but escaped and stole the family's air-yacht. Gathering a motley crew, they modified the airship and became airship pirates.

If I may suggest....consider basing your steam world after the collapse of the oil dependent world due to peak oil after the war. When you think about it, what is the world going to do when the oil finally dries up?
