May I make a small suggestion for those who live near to the border between BC and Alberta? The Southern end of it, at any rate..

There is a wonderful Victorian town begging to be explored at Fort Steele. It is open year round, though obviously in Summer there is more open. The photograph opportunities are endless.

I've been there.  It is an excellent open air museum.
Our Victorian lady guide was shocked at the sight of "women scandalously clad in trousers" so they might have a lot of fun with steampunk garments. Cheesy
