Yes, thanks.
I am feeling the cloth wrap idea.
How do you think I could incorporate porcelain Birdnest?
or was there some porcelain device you were thinking of?
I don't like to add to much decorative/functionless stuff where the main wiring camps out as it's going to be busy in there.

I wonder if you could find some sort of white plastic "porcelain" grommets to line the holes in your wire guides in place of the usual black rubber grommets?

Porcelain standoffs and wire holders could possible be (mis)used.  Electric fence stand-offs make a swell "electrode" connection worthy of Dr. Frankenstein!
An idea that just struck me ... how about making the wire manifold base look porcelain.  Round the corners in a fashion that would be similar to a cast porcelain base, then powder coat it white  (think antique knife switch base or round fuse holder base).

There's a company in the US that manufactures new cloth covered wire for assorted restoration projects.
They may be able to ship to you.

Great work there ... envious intricate detailing!

Gorgeous metalwork!  That is like a huge piece of jewelry, except it's functional.

I'm not retreating, I'm advancing in another direction.
