Nebuchadnezzar
Rhineland
Messenger

Those are my favorite names for ships. "The Nebuchadnezzer" from the Matrix, "The Rhineland" from the video game "Freelancer" and "The Messenger" I just made up.
Nebuchadnezzer dates back further than the Matrix, you know...much further.

Stolen from Storm constantine's novel 'Hermetech':

'The Rentfree Aphrodite'

I usually strive to be original (impossible i know) but this has always plucked a chord for me.

Mine would definitely be, Yamaykin Mikrazy. For various and sundry reasons...
Either that The Slithey Tove  I wouldn't be an HMS or USS more than likely. An independent trading/exploring ship would do me fine.

You've just reminded me of the perfect name for my airship... The Bandasnatch. (frumious, or not, is a different matter)

I hate to admit it but I would steal the name from Halo.  It would likely be something like Pillar of Autumn, or Truth and Reconciliation.  If I didn't steal the name it would be the HMS/USS/HMA/etc.  Starhunter.

Taking a cue from Douglas Adams vehicles, I might be tempted to name one "Somebody Elses Problem", which would, of course, make the zep invisible.

The problem would happen when it came to ship's maintenance....

"Rudolfo, didn't I order you to change the air filters?"
"Sorry, I couldn't find them. Besides, I thought that was Someone Else's Job?"
