I would name it after my beloved. Romantic fool = me.

Or I'd tempt fate with "Utterly Impervious" or somesuch.

I quite heartily agree, barring that: The Helium Behemoth, or The Goliathan

The Unbearable Lightness of Being.  Or perhaps, in the vein of Iain Banks's ship names, something like Don't Mind Me, I'm Just Passing Through.

Heh, I like that one.

Someone on one of the bus conversion lists I'm on changed his destination sign to read "Wrong Bus".

Hmmmm, airship full of hydrogen....
Would it be too ironic to paint it hot-rod style with flames?  Grin

Well, I have taken quite a fancy to the name I came up with for my airship in the Council Wars roleplay - Perennial Fortune.

I was always partial to "The Medusa" for some reason. But then I heard NASA's proposed a ship called that and so now I'm at a loss. Undecided

Oh dear.

Myself, I'm partial to the Nautilus.  For the obvious Vernian and historical contexts, and because those little creatures are just fantastic.

I would probably choose Wila or The Harpy.

I think that Ophelia, as used by Abney Park, is also a very fitting name. Precisely why I am unsure.

Ophelia?
A beautiful sounding name, true. But mightn't it be dangerous to name a large bag of flammable gas after a character who committed suicide?

If you're going to risk that, you might as well chose "Ardentia Nare".

Roughly "floating flames"?

How about Saccus Ardoris? Or maybe Flamma Trepida?

(I know the grammar is horrifically incorrect, but I'm sure you can figure them out.)

small and sleek: "the Bristol pistol"
a large flying city (my preference): The cloudhaven.
