I dream someday of owning (or building) and learning to fly my very own thermal airship.
I shall call it "Audacity."

It would have to be, of course, The Flying Castle. Thousands of gigantic balloons carrying a castle! Yes! YES! YEEEEEES!
... Or possibly "The Phoenix's Folly".

Pb? That would go down like a Lead Zeppelin... *groans* could be good names for a four-airship fleet.. RMAS' Page, Plant, Bonham and Jones.. you could even have the sleeve symbols from IV as their ensigns and crew epaulettes.. ooh and two long-range supply carrier ships the RMS' Dazed and Confused

The Porcelain Delilah. Long story short, I needed a name, and me and Miss Kins ended up with it.
How very extraordinary! Have you ever heard of The Citadel of Porcelain by First Light? (not an airship BTW) KB, pilot and gunner as needed in various positions aboard the Faraday

Currently reading (and really enjoying) Toby Frost's Space Captain Smith...which features a (space) ship called Systematic Destruction..which would be a great name for a Warship Zepplin..

hm, if i had a small fleet of ships, i would call the 2 'lead' ships the 'endeavor' and 'perseverance'
i have always thought it would be a great thing to give drastic names to ships of the sea going variety, so i imagine it would work for airships as well... things like the 'penultimate' and the 'forthright'
very good drastic names...

Actually re-reading over your vision of the gin swill, they are remarkably similar. I've always kinda leaned towards the smuggler/explorer side of things rather than all the air pirates and such.

This is really just on a whim, but I was thinking something like Bonhomme Richard for a light cruiser. Bonus points if you get the reference without having to Google/Wiki it. Ultimately though, I think I'm more a fan of conventional boats. Epic battleships and the like.
