No, we have an induction cooker. An antique pan, or any pan used on a traditional cooker is no longer flat a the bottom. Therefore no more usable on induction cooker. Cooking with induction is the most efficient and best way to cook.

Next poster disagrees.

#Edited# Oops, sorry miss Adler. I seem to have posted at the same time you did.

To answer your "next poster": I have no idea why you are enthusiastic.

Next poster, look above.

Ms. Adler, I am enthusiastic with you!

As for induction cooking, no thanks. I'm glad you enjoy it, but I'll take a gas stove and a cast iron pan.

The next poster has an antique samovar.

It's like saying when you try to extrapolate the end of the universe, you say, if the universe is indeed infinite, then how - what does that mean? How far is all the way, and then if it stops, what's stopping it, and what's behind what's stopping it? So, what's the end, you know, is my question to you."

I'd love to have one! Would look excellent in the living room, once it had the steampunk makeover.

The next poster wants to refurbish his place steampunk-style too.

Indeed I do ... and the Birdnest was built with all this in mind, although it is still a work in progress - and when we built it I'd never heard of steampunk.

The next poster found out that all that weird stuff that they've been doing for years is Steampunk'ish

Doing, no. Thinking about a lot, definitely so. I'm glad to have a name for some of my thoughts now, lol.

The next person enjoys watching 2012. (The movie)

Haven't we all?
I used to wear granny boots and hats even at school, knew all the Sherlock Holmes books (and H.G. Wells and the rest of them) while my classmates read magazines about boygroups - I was the odd one. Until I discovered steampunk.

The next poster tells his/her own story about steampunk.

Grew up in a 16 room Victorian house... attic full of odd items left by decades of previous owners, was a child with vivide imagination.... was military historian at an early age.... intrests in Civil War and WWI WWII..... but mainly WWI as my Grandfather was a strong influance with his stories of the trenches and artillery barrages and tunneling... My best friend from Childhood as far back as age 14 or 15 said I was born 100 years too late.. which I took as a compliment even back then..... I have read HG Wells and Holmes and the rest.... although I like the Victorian era I also lean twards the Craftsman era..... some items I have drawn or made over the years could have been classed as Steampunk.... but I did not come over to the dark side until this past year.... at age 50.....

The next poster will relate...

I got it ALL. ALL of it. Jimi was a thumb fretter as well, but Eddie stole that tapping routine from someone else.

The next poster has volunteered for a good cause ... or just because

Yes I do. Eddie never impressed me too much; a great showman and a good gimmick with the tapping thing, DEFINITELY had some great songs back in the day, but really not that much better than 90% of the metal guitarists in the 80s.

The next poster would rather watch C.C. Deville play guitar.

I've no idea where that is, but right now, travelling sounds like a lot of fun.
