I am having a glory days of Lucas party. Well really, the glory days of cinema. That being the original theatrical versions of the original Star Wars trilogy, plus the Dark Crystal, Labyrinth and the Muppets Take Manhattan marathon. I've recently found a few friends who are of the same mind and miss the days of that style of film making.
The next poster understands the need for miniatures, models, puppets and actors (which could be enhanced with cgi - look to for example Silent Hill, and The Lord of the Rings Trilogy) because there is a tangible-texture-quality that a cgi character or set could never truly achieve.

Yes, because if you look at the older stuff done with miniatures, it still looks great after all of this time, the CGI stuff is already aging badly..
The next poster agrees as well..

I do. The CGI stuff just doesn’t look “right” on film. PLUS if you lack a story, CGI does NOT make up for it

How far is all the way, and then if it stops, what's stopping it, and what's behind what's stopping it? So, what's the end, you know, is my question to you."

Nope, I am listening to the Jaws Soundtrack after having listened to The Blue Danube because today was the first day it was ever played for an audience many years ago.
The next poster would enjoy breaking out the Super Nintendo and playing Super Mario Brothers, if just for the music.

Yes, yes I do. We call him "Big Country," because he's the very definition of a Backwoods, Racist, elitist hick. When he comes around, I SWEAR I hear banjos. (This is coming from a very proud southern boy)

Related to the Dalton Gang (on my mother's side). Fitzgerald Dalton was my great, great, great, great grandfather. The resemblance is underwhelming.

I've been told I look a bit like Shooter Jennings, but not strikingly so. And most people don't even know who Shooter is anyway, so it doesn't really matter.
(Ms. Adler, as I believe you have some knowledge of D&D, you might be interested to search Youtube for Acquisitions Incorporated; their PAX videos are hilarious and awesome, and they have a podcast on Wizards of the Coast's website.)
