The memsahib and I will join the Ropley Splitters at 11 of your British o'clocks and then wave enthusiastically when the Orthodox Altonians steam in to the station. Hurrah!

To be honest, it's not a hugely long length of track, we're all bound to bump into each other eventually!

Just wanted to say what a lovely day we had.

Good company, warm weather, steam trains, real ale, old friends, new faces, scrummy tuck, splendid outfits, great fun and a baby in a bowler hat! What more could you want from a day out?

Our thanks to Herr, Doktor for the initial suggestion.

Well, bless you for saying! It wouldn't have been anything without all the people turning up, they deserve the praise, not me!

It was a blimmin' good day though, wasn't it?

That it was!

We should have another picnic sometime. Sitting under a tree in the sun, eating nicked strawberries is rather fun!  Smiley

I've having trouble getting my photos onto a computer (any computer now that I no longer own a working one), so please bear with me.
