Welcome, you are crewmember 20. I love your woodwork, what do you use to cut the shapes?

Thanks gentlemen,
There's a great bunch of people here, lets just hope that the group works to everyone's advantage - it's certainly looking good so far!
To answer your question Will, I cut the faces - and in fact all the components - with an electric fret saw and a very fine blade after marking out and drilling access holes. Takes a bit of patience and a steady hand but it works a treat. Once the holes are cut it's then Dremel time to hollow out the inside of the face with one of the little round milling bits - which also requires a steady hand (and sticky plasters when you catch your fingers...). Thanks for the kind comments.
I shall get on with my Treasury List at some point tomorrow I hope - off work, but jobs to do, doh!

Welcome Herr Doktor, your presence adds much needed prestige to our motley Crew I might suggest you place a few of your exorbitantly priced objects in your Etsy store to establish the level of your work. I happen to know the owner of Etsy actually filters searches looking for the highest price objects which he buys for the Etsy offices. He bought a work from the Lady Elizabeth for $6000

I see you have listed two of your blasters. I'm going to make a treasury of high priced Steampunk items in which, unfortunately, I'll have to leave out my own stuff

This already has a thread in tactile, in fact as of now that thread is literally right underneath this one, does it really need a second? Especially one in the same board? ~Longeye~

Mr.Rockwell, I have begun making Steampunky leather things for sale, and am looking for outlets. An Etsy shop seems like an excellent idea, and I will be joining your group soon.

I set up an etsy store front at the back end of last year. I'll have to see if i can populate it with some stuff. It was originally intended to get rid of some of the old stock from my LARPing leatherwork business seeing as i don't make stuff for that particualr market any longer.
Problem is, I only make stuff now when I can be bothered or I've found an interesting gadget and then I tend to keep it...
But I digress, if I manage to get stuff into the store, I'll apply..
___UPDATE_____
OK, so after reading this and posting on it this afternoon, I was galvanised into action and now one of my steampunk amps is up and live. I'll post some other stuff as and when i can get some decent pics of them. Can I play in your sandpit too? I've applied under the name: ShadesLeather

I made an etsy store a few months ago, and thus far I've listed and sold... a box of thread and a Simplicity 2172 pattern that I bought and then decided not to make. I would LOVE to join your team, but a destash store does not a contributing member make.
I need to: 1) Make something. 2) NOT immedately use it for my own steamy getup 3) List it
and then I'll check back with you guys.
It's #2 that's the hard part...
