I've been off taking care of the traffic ticket this morning; that's all finished now. Unfortunately, I seem to have developed a rather serious eye irritation/infection in my left eye (feels like a marble wedged between my eyeball and the nose side of the socket and hurts and itches like hades). Right now I'm taking care of it with acetaminophen and Theratears drops. I may have to take it to the doctor and see what they can do. Meantime, I'll still be available to write for Rourke, if anybody's still interested.

I would really, really love to write, only with my weird working hours (9-6) and on top of that between 2-3 hours on the tube every day, it's just not possible! I come home, eat, read my e-mail and a bit of BG and it's time for bed again. Work kills creativity, I tell you... P.S. I hear, Private Weasel has similar problems. At least it's both of us going AWOL. P.P.S. But we're planning to be back with a vengeance! We just don't know when.

Well if you want to play as a German or Russian that falls in with us it could work. You could also be someone being held in the factory, Like a scientist, weapon designer, medical researcher or a spy or something

Just re-wrote the post where Rourke had entered the tank; now he's disabled it from the outside, using his last torpedo rocket. lots of damage to the tank. It's an airship torpedo, so of course its going to do more damage than some rinky-dink bazooka-like round...

Rourke may be joining Redburn and Starling in a trice, but first he has to make it to the top of that tower...

I hope this isn't dying on the vine; Perhaps we should bring this story to a close and start a new one where this one ground to a halt. thoughts?

I've just been preoccupied with life recently, and I get the feeling that others have been as well. The story is great in my opinion, but I don't know if everyone has the time at this point.

"Well, I don't really think that the end can be assessed as of itself as being the end because what does the end feel like? It's like saying when you try to extrapolate the end of the universe, you say, if the universe is indeed infinite, then how - what does that mean? How far is all the way, and then if it stops, what's stopping it, and what's behind what's stopping it? So, what's the end, you know, is my question to you."

Exactly. That generally happens with most RP's this time of year. Heaps of activity December, January and early February then it drops off. I'll work with Mark to wrap up my bit for this story and the factory can be blown up unceremoniously

I assure you, that incident in Singapore was all a misunderstanding.

I have a bit of story in my head, just need the time to write it down - that's the problem. Hope to finish this, before you blow everything up!

I think we can give you as much time as you need. I have an idea for a story but I can't figure out if I should run it as a game in a few weeks when things calm down or making it a co op side story.

My original intent for the Short RP's was to create a form of RP that was designed for the relatively-short periods during which people had time for RPing (holidays, low work project rate periods, seasonal doldrums, school breaks, etc.). I'm not insisting on a quick end; I just want to keep the idea alive. It's fine if people need time for Life, I'm not a slave driver... or at least I don't want to be one.

Joe's not dead by the way, I will hopefully have him kicking around for the next game. Where he will be and who he will be with I don't know yet.

If you give me 24 hours, you'll get Alex and Issa back. If you'd rather proceed sooner, then go ahead; in that case they come running to meet the Marigold in the last minute.

Thank you for letting me play with him. Actually that sounds... wrong. Hm. You know what I mean. Chaps, I'm going to go quiet for the next week or so, I've got very busy and will unlikely had time during the day to post, so so Cpt Wallace can we write me out for now and I'll come back in when I get less busy at a dramatic point in the story (maybe on a chandelier)
I want to stress the fact that I DID include a chandelier.

*sniff* Everybody gets to wear lampshades and swing on chandeliers but meee...
Seriously, wow, thanks for the save!
only waiting for the disposition of Talbot and Rooney.
I imagined that the ship's somewhere over, say, Germany at this point, and the rank-and-file crew're going to go outside and peel and scrub off the remainder of the German markings under cover of darkness just before they cross the border into France.
Thoughts?

Rooney will end this story unconscious. I'll figure out exactly what happens to him later and he can find out in the next part's exposition.
Also, if no-one has an idea ready-to-go then I do have a tie-in part four that follows on from the events of this part
