um... for those googling desperately to find that  'tri-barrel hotchkiss" gun, don't bother; its just something I made up, working on the idea that if hand-cranked, carryable rotating-barrel-cluster guns existed, Hotchkiss and Gatling would likely have been the ones who made them.

The exploding cigar was a borrow from the  David Niven/Peter Sellers/Woody Allen version of Casino Royale, where Jimmy Bond throws the exploding cig and blows up the firing squad.

*DUN DUN DUNNN*

I've just buried myself under a heap of crates in an exploding warehouse. I must have a death wish!  Grin

Issa must survive of course. I'm SO looking forward to her conversation with Alex about Shanghai...

Ok I'm lost, anyone mind jotting down a brief summary of what's gone on in the warehouse and posting it in this thread?

I think I should also mention I had a dream about this game, only Bailey was a woman...

I assure you, that incident in Singapore was all a misunderstanding.

Well, Rourke walked in on Redburn and Hawthorne examining a bottle of treadstone-brand absinthe and knocked it out of their hands with the the thrown sap (blackjack thingy Rourke always carries). he tells them its dissolving the statue that got splashed withit because its actually hydrochloric acid (you could think of it as Muriatic acid, its the same thing, also known as Baume). They figure out it could be used againstthe greenies. Starling and others open other crates and find the labels on them are euphemistic at best; the 'oranges are grenades, the 'beans' are ammo, and the 'umbrellas' are invulnerable (bulletproof) cuirasses and matching helmets.

Then May Li, an old enemy acquaintance of Rourke's and Hawthorne's shows up, reveals that she and her henchmen have their smallarms and a Gatling trained on our heroes, and trades repartee with Rourke and Starling, the Talbot, on cue from Rourke, throws his exploding incendiary ace playing card and lights Rourke's exploding (dynamite) cigar, Rourke answers May Li and throws the now-spark-spitting cigar under the Gatling gun, Issa takes out her attacker, the Gatling and its operator are blown through the roof when the cigar detonates (*pant, pant, pant* Wink) and all hell breaks loose as May Li breaks out a tri-barrel handheld Hotchkiss repeating gun and starts hosing it around, shouting at  her minions to get Rourke. That's about where I broke off, I haven't read the rest yet.

Starling's aunt shows up at the worst possible time with armed gentlemen from the hotel and causes even more mayhem until starling knocks most of them out.  Issa freed herself from goons only to be buried in crates. And now starling is trying to make sure none of the people that made it in with her aunt get killed.

I say, a chap goes out for some sushi and a Sherlock Holmes film, and madness breaks loose in the game.

Looks like I have some catching up to do.

How far is all the way, and then if it stops, what's stopping it, and what's behind what's stopping it? So, what's the end, you know, is my question to you."

Sushi and Sherlock Holmes? My favourite combination!  Smiley
Was it good? Fish and film I mean.

I wonder if Private Weasel will be online some time this weekend or if he'll miss all the fun.

Sounds dire... Wink

----------------
My apologies, but some issues have arisen involving a recent moving violation that will soon require my undivided attention. Not sure how long I'll be called away, maybe a day, maybe several, maybe today, maybe sometime in the near future, depending on several factors. The game is not ending, and I will be back(hopefully), whether I start the process today or another day.

No, I'm not going to jail or anything like that (knock on wood furiously), and I was not DWUI, its just an out-of-town court and travel is required. I don't normally go around speeding; usually speeders have to go around me. But all it takes is one time out of several million, so they say.

Fish was quite good, and the movie was...good. Its a solid action/adventure movie and has a lot of steampunk eye candy, but its not the best adaption of the original story. But I enjoyed it all the same.

And yes MWBailey, if you need to be busted out of jail we can help I'm sure!

I saw that movie and I loved the way Holmes moved and the fact he looked scruffy instead of well polished all the time. And WMB I could bake you something with added iron if you catch my drift.

LOL its just a speeding ticket, but thanks for the offers. Grin Looks like I'm free for a bit at least, since the court is closed 'til Monday (sorry to have jumped the gun. I have yet to tell the aged parents about the ticket, so that might tear me away for a bit a little while later on, but it shouldn't get too dire*knocking furiously on wood*

Ah the skills of a diplomat

Big up Miss Scott to her Aunt then change the subject to something she holds in far higher regard to her niece romping around with a bunch of ruffians her niece getting married to a good gentleman.

And Talbot dislikes Sinclair enough to inflict Aunty on him.

Yes Starling's uncle is kind of like Indiana Jones. I love those movies so much.  He is up for grabs but I imagine there will be some battles and such there.  And it was a lot of fun getting starling to bear her sole like that.

Aaaw! What a wonderful declaration of love from Starling and Redburn!  Smiley
(Seems I'm a romantic after all!)

If you're collecting ruffians for interrogation, don't forget that nomad who is still tied up (hopefully) near the marketplace. I figure, Issa is in no state to remind anyone of anything, and I'm still waiting for Private Weasel to make a move, so I won't write right now.
