Thank you so much, Private Weasel and walkthebassline! Shouldn't it be the DAMSEL in distress??? Oh well, time to save the day, I guess... ...but not today, I need my beauty sleep!

I do what I can. But I'll leave a description of the interior to our GM.

It's like saying when you try to extrapolate the end of the universe, you say, if the universe is indeed infinite, then how - what does that mean? How far is all the way, and then if it stops, what's stopping it, and what's behind what's stopping it? So, what's the end, you know, is my question to you."

Ihope the outcome does not disappoint. I kept wondering, "What would make Redburn give out ythe classic southern war-whoop?" And then I remembered his passion for Absinthe...
I'm assuming Redburn rescued Hawthorne from the SB Greenie...

The armed greenie thing might not happen but now Starling is going to be a bit more paranoid about the big smart ones.

Just a note Wallace, I've spotted you God-Moding Joe at times. It's not a massive issue and I'll generally just ignore it and break plot if it leaves me somewhere I don't actually want the character to be but do try and avoid it.

I think I should also mention I had a dream about this game, only Bailey was a woman...
I assure you, that incident in Singapore was all a misunderstanding.

I think with the character of the story, it is sometimes difficult, not to god-mode other chars. We should try to keep this to a minimum though and try to find other solutions whenever possible.

It's a difference between saying "Joe come and look at this" and 'Joe looked at it and said "Cool"'
Hmm
In plainer terms, it's fine, to an extent, to have certain people in certain places so long as it does not impede whatever they may want to write for themselves (for example it would be fine to say I was in the warehouse, possibly fine to say examining crates because everyone was doing that, as I'd already said I was about to go in to the warehouse). What isn't ok is to actually write in certain actions for them and, even worse, dialogue (for example saying I examined some crates then went to someone else and asked them about the crates they were looking at after changing into a silk robe)

Interestingly enough, defining God-Moding and the levels of acceptability for it is one of the bigger problems I keep hitting in planning the proper rules for the Portrayal board.

Sorry I just thought it would be a natural reaction for Joe as I've taken the delivery systems of both Handthorpe bullets and Joe's SWAG to be similar. I shall endeavour to not repeat the god-moding again in the future.

I just brought a new NPC into the game - if our dear GM likes her, you can take her, give her a name and have your way with her... Otherwise just imagine she's wearing a red shirt and kill her off! I could just not imagine there's an entire warehouse full of good stuff and no one there to keep an eye on it!

Anything you can do, I can make worse. The unnamed new character and Hawthorne have a history. Who is she? A nemesis? An ex lover? A colleage? An assassin? Oh what fun

So Starling just delivered a bad ass gunman's line with only a blow gun to back her up. I am thinking that she is an outlet for need to be an action hero every now and then.

(oh come on, you knew I was overdue for a pun ) Seriously, I think I'll call her Mah Li... -------------- As for God-Moding...I guess my amping-up of Handthorpe and placement of Redburn and Hawthorne may have suggested that God-moding is ok, so I'll try to keep a handle on my own actions in that respect, but I'd like to have a little leeway with it just for the sake of plot control if nothing else. Corsair is teh Mod around this area, so he is correct in his reasoning and actions. 'Nuff said, IMO.

Ok, then I'll play Miss Evil a bit longer, while Issa is incapacitated. For the name I'd suggest May Li instead of Mah Li - sounds more like penny-dreadfuls and Indiana Jones...

Is it bad I think it would be awesome if dear aunty wandered in causing a distraction. I also wonder if her husband isn't tangled up in the enemies plan to open the pyramid. It would explain stuff well.

No that anyone would be aware of Talbots special deck but the candle cards are what he's been flinging around at greenies and setting them alight. It's a party trick I use from time to time when being a magic geek. Essentially the cards are coated with an incendiary compound I've beefed it up for this, the ace will act like a flash bang when he throws it.

I love Aunty! We should take her into the desert with us! I like the flaming cards! Neat! And Issa did her kung fu chick thing again and is free! Yay! To quote Sherlock Holmes (movie) "Physical recovery: six weeks. Full psychological recovery: six months."

I think we may have to take aunty with us because i can't see her being safe if we leave her when we go and starling would not let her get in to too much trouble.
