Age: 45
Origin: British; born in London's East End, son of one Nerry Rourke, proprietress of an Eastcheap brothel. Raised rough in the streets. Joined up in 1863 to escape a contrived charge of murder, arranged by his would-be fiancee's father.
Occupation: Served in the Zulu War of 1879, distinguished himself at Ulundi under one Colonel Piggot-Steng, an Army Intelligence officer. Name: Lord Alexander Hawthorne
Age: Late Twenties
Origin: Earl of Halifax. Inherited his title early after his parents died in the fire that destroyed is ancestral home. Now lives in comfortable rooms in London above his newly furnished Gentleman’s club
Occupation: Member of the Diplomatic Engineering Corps. Sometimes a spy, often a Diplomat, habitually an advisor on foreign policy to Whitehall.
Cover Occupation: Gentleman of Leisure. Owner of Hawthorne’s Gentleman’s club, a club for those who find White’s and Brook’s decidedly too political
Skills: It is remarked that Hawthorne has the luck of the devil himself.  He is also graceful and stylish, a dab hand with a pistol, an excellent swordsman, has an excellent grasp of world politics and benefits from a fine mind and a excellent education. His finest attribute is his unshakeable confidence in his abilities.
Weaponry (2 to 3 only, please): A pair of light revolvers, nothing like the monsterous cannons he wielded previously. A Fine walking cane, hiding a wickedly sharp swordblade
Equipment: Clothing for practically every occasion, a gentleman’s travel case for personal grooming. A pocket watch that can, if properly set, be used as a small explosive charge. A bowtie that, when looped over a zip line, will support the weight of two people. A strongly weaved shirt that gives slight protection form small arms and acts as a protection against tragically unplanned stabbings. Impeccably polished shoes which, when activated emit a radio wave beacon that can be tracked by those with a proper receiver.

Whoops, already posted in the game thread before finding this one. Oh well.

Name: Morgan Redburn
Age: 28
Origin: Disinherited son of American gentry; a thrill seeker who ran afoul of his parent’s conservative lifestyle.
Occupation: Airship pilot; Morgan is notoriously bad with money and takes most any job that comes his way.
Cover Occupation: Airship pilot, and more recently the "assistant" of Ms. Starling Scott, a medical researcher.
Skills: Piloting, navigating, fencing and formal etiquette (from his upbringing), street smarts and brawling (from his life on the streets), some moderate skill with a handgun
Weaponry: Scottish backsword, Le Mat revolver (modified for use with cartridges), Howdah pistol (chambered in .577 Nitro)
Equipment: Morgan is never without his tophat, his absinthe, and his pipe. Besides that he always carries the basic toiletries, a compass, and a few pieces of clothing. His fortunes have improved of late, but that never lasts long. For now though he has a modest wardrobe, some nice navigational equipment, and a small talisman found on the Lousiana bayous. The exact properties of the talisman are not fully known, but it seems to be protective and Redburn never takes the thing off.

"Well, I don't really think that the end can be assessed as of itself as being the end because what does the end feel like? It's like saying when you try to extrapolate the end of the universe, you say, if the universe is indeed infinite, then how - what does that mean? How far is all the way, and then if it stops, what's stopping it, and what's behind what's stopping it? So, what's the end, you know, is my question to you."

Excellent, a new face!  Smiley
Welcome aboard!

We'll join the merry gang in Gibraltar by the way.

P.S. I just realized, I wrote something in another story, what the Marigold crew of course knows: my char left the Marigold on the island of Madeira, in disguise and in the middle of the night, a few days after the Nirgalian Dagger incident.
She confessed to the team about being a former spy, but hasn't told her full name to anyone so far (with one exception of course) and goes by the name of Issa.

EEK, forgot the Gibraltar part. I'll fix that in a second. Gonna go to bed after I do that. I Might be able to post once or twice in the AM before 10:00 American Central time, but then I'll be out of town 'til Sunday PM (Not sure what time that will be). Myself and my banjos and flutes'll be in Kennard and Crockett, Texas for an Old Time Music New years Eve Celebration.

Moved the last part of my post, wherein Rourke was tying down the Marigold and helping with the loading, then greeting the others, into a new post following miss Adler's, mainly because it seemed to flow better there.

That's about all I have time for today (packing and loading took longer than expected); I'll be back tomorrow afternoon, and hopefully continue from there. Feel free to the storyline in between; it's not just about me, after all. Wink Smiley Grin

I'M BACK!

Many substances later I've passed through Christmas and New Years miraculously unscathed (probably)

Here's Joe, altered to include discovering (somewhat) the Smalls vaccine

Name: Joseph "Joe" Alfred Rooney
Age: 21
Origin: Lower-middle class Anglo-American. Born in Manchester but raised in Boston from the age of 3 onwards where his father made a decent amount of wealth from investment in construction projects. Moved back to England himself with a long-time girlfriend at the age of 19 on her fathers orders where she died of an illness not revealed to Joe. He is now known as one of the co-discoverers of the Smalls Vaccine, the only known 'cure' for Greenmouth.
Occupation: Experimental Weapons and Combat-Assisting Devices tester
Cover Occupation: Medical Student
Skills: Excellent at 'quick-fix' solutions when things malfunction in a life-threatening way. Aside from that he has no particular mechanical knowledge. He has some basic medical skill that extends a little way beyond first-aid but is otherwise untrained and unskilled.
Weaponry: Experimental 'bolt bullet' carbine (fires bullets that administer a strong electric shock upon impact), Revolver, Dagger.
Equipment: Steam-Propelled Personal Flight and Manoeuvring Suit (a 'wing' backpack that allows him to fly for approximately 3 hours before refuelling is needed. Compacts for easy carrying and storage), Optical Enhancement and Assistance Device (a small lens on his right eye that allows him to see through clouds and other similar mediums). Has various other experimental devices he uses when necessary but the above two he carries most of the time.

I think I should also mention I had a dream about this game, only Bailey was a woman...

I assure you, that incident in Singapore was all a misunderstanding.

I hope I didn't tread on any canon toes. I caught a glimpse of 'five weeks' in Evelyn's post so went off that. Sorry if there's conflicting history, I only had time to skim the posts.

I don't see any problems with your post, Corsair.

--------------------------------

Pardon my tardiness; there was a big spread at the party last night, and I had all sorts of things to eat. I apparently found one or two that didnt agree with me, since I was "puny," (sick) as the saying goes, this AM. When I got home (after a two-hour drive), I was completely bushed and somewhaqt hungry, so I had lunch and then a lie down. I just got up a little while ago, saw the end of the Vienna Philharmonc program (Some "Anvil" piece with the Boys Choir, through Blue Danube and the Radetsky March. I just love that last one!).

I'll try to post a couple or few photos from the Party at Camp Street in the next few days. I didn't take many, as I was too busy jamming...

I keep picturing Starling's landlady as the one from the new Sherlock Holmes movies only more easily flustered.  I think it would be funny if somehow her aunt popped up in one of these games with entirely the wrong idea as to what was going on.  Like her lecturing Starling on being a lady while a greenie is sneaking up on them.

That would be truly hilarious! And yes, I picture the landlady the same way; a flustered Mrs. Hudson.

No problem Wallace

I'm assuming we're in Egypt (I may have skipped the 'exact location' part of the story so far) so if we're not that post can be edited. Also, the location I get the new equipment from can be in whatever city we're in if we can't delay, otherwise it's in Cairo (Again, excuse me if I've gone way out from our actual location)
