Our RL time constraints being what they are, Rourke and two riflemen're going to foray out into the city for a specimen for Talbot, to be picked up by the Marigold via a cable attached to the cage the Specimen will be lured into, whilst calling down the vaccine barrage. (can't wait til after the barrage to do it, the specimen would be 'contaminated' by vaccine and thus flawed) All in one post.
----------- Interesting, Doctor. I'm a bit of a slinging enthusiast myself; I use what I call a three-point sling, originally developed (by someone else) for throwing golf balls. It's great for lobbing glands and such too.

I'm guessing the meeting has finished, I can correct my post if otherwise.
Will's main concern about fighting in wolf form is that werewolves' main weapon when shifted is thier teeth, and biting something that can infect you doesn't seem like a great idea. I guess he could get away with it once the vaccine takes full effect, but I'd think there would still be some risk in doing so with the possibility of mutation in the virus.

Yes, the meeting is finished. Sorry about that oversight on my part.
The werewolf reasoning seems perfectly reasonable to me.

The Bosun's cabin and Weapons Room are also among the group of crew cabins where a great deal of the building and creation of weapons and implements occurs, so yes, it's perfectly OK for there to be, say, an all-purpose workbench there, as well as other tools folded away into built-in lockers for the purpose. I wouldn't go grabbing things from the bench much, however. The Bosun's not keen on such. There's also a (small) munitions workshop up in the envelope where the Magazine is located, just in case anyone wondered. The Bosun's Workshop is where the replacement parts of the broken deck gun were cast and forged (being a relatively long way from the magazine), the final machining and fitting done upstairs in the munitions shop. Most "power" tools are most likely human- (as in treadle or springpole) or clockwork-powered, since much of the ship is not yet electrified beyond the requirements for lighting, Bridge & Cockpit, Mess refrigeration and ice production units, Engineering, the munitions lifts, Comm (squawkbox)system, and Sick Bay. Aaaand a paaartriidge in aaa peeaarr treeee...

You could assume he's with Rourke and the Hotchkiss gunners at town hall. I haven't posted yet, but I think there might be a bit of a greenish problem with the Mayor and councilmen... Or, you could assume a place with one of the other pairs of riflemen. Your choice.

they are very strong, very angry and smarter than they should be. Starling's blast the living hell out of everything polacy has backfired a bit.

Supposed to be having surgery next Monday; things are a bit hectic around here right now. Trying to get everything squared away for the procedure and the aftermath (enforced bedrest for at least a day and a half, and reduced strenuous activities for at least two weeks) translates to having to do all sorts of things now because I won't be able to do them for a while later. I'll keep posting, but it might be a little sparse (or might not, have to see how it goes).

Hope everything goes well for you.
I'm done with finals! Pretty sure I passed but I won't for certain know until next friday. (Just end of class/quarter finals, really, I'll be back in school week after next.)
I'll be gone most of the day tomorrow, and probably at some point next week to go rock hunting/get lost on backroads.

Alright, As you probably noticed, I've changed gears a bit. I do apologize if my earlier efforts caused much consternation. It's been some time since I've RPed, and I was unfamiliar with the plot and most of the surroundings. I think you'll find my more recent efforts an improvement.

Thanks, Doctor.
I'll be toddling off to the hospital (hydrocele surgery) in about 30 minutes. I probably won't be able to be "on" again today, and it would be foolish to try tonight (wound care and ice packs and all that), maybe tomorrow noonish, but probably not until late or Wednesday sometime, and maybe not then, either, if things go awry or are worse than I was told to expect. In any case, I'm hoping to end chapter IV by middle of next week, maybe sooner.

Apologies for my disappearance. Tropical Storm Debby is currently parked over my house, and I haven't had a chance to check the forum in a few days. I'll try to get caught up as quickly as possible.

It's like saying when you try to extrapolate the end of the universe, you say, if the universe is indeed infinite, then how - what does that mean? How far is all the way, and then if it stops, what's stopping it, and what's behind what's stopping it? So, what's the end, you know, is my question to you."

Defying Doc's orders and BG'ing at latenight. Supposedly I need to be lying down with an icepack in my *ahem* 'manly bits,' but I've been doing that all afternoon and all evening , and I needed a break. No complications or bad surprises so far. Knock on the nearest facsimile to solid wood available.

Thanks! But I'm not frigid, "I just have to be finessed" (I wonder if anybody else'll get that reference ). Playing hooky again. The mop-up's beginning to take a bit longer than intended. Might be a good idea to wrap up and get back in the air on the way home to England. One thing, if Starling's up on the hospital balcony, and Wallace is underground, how does he manage to 'snap a salute' to Starling?
