So, is there any consensus on how you will get me into the game, or are you still deciding?

We're planning to pick you up in Quebec, while Mordaunt (Wilbur)is taking care of a bit of his own business, and the crew pick up a dossier on the situation in Nuuk (Greenland's capitol city).

Given that I've been inactive for the last few pages and have little to offer besides Joe's side-romance I'll sit out the remainder of this and post what Joe was doing (rehab, mostly) in the 'between' thread.
Is a story for part 5 decided upon?

I think I should also mention I had a dream about this game, only Bailey was a woman...
I assure you, that incident in Singapore was all a misunderstanding.

I believe we'll be going either to the Far east, or the North pole (Alexis' Idea). Other than that, I'm not sure.

Shall we assume Mordaunt is aboard?
Going for my mandatory walk (by doctors order), so I'll be out of pocket for three or four hours.

Shall we assume Mordaunt is aboard? Assume away... Sorry for the delay in responding; not having internet at home makes it a somewhat difficult for me to post with regularity. I'm *trying* to get at least a post a day up but, as can be seen, that's not always the case. Touch wood I'll have home internet come Monday and can post more frequently then...

*Scuttlebutt: originally referred to a "scuttled butt," a butt being a container in which potable and drinkable water was stored. Sailors tended to gather around such a container when it was lifted out and 'scuttled,' or broken open. The original concept was similar to that of the modern 'water cooler syndrome,' meaning it was a source of rumours which tended to get started by people idling over a cup of water after or during a workday.
I've somewhat misappropriated it and anthropomorphosized (sp?) it in the same vein as it's WWI & II usage, which refered to a mythical individual named "Scuttlebutt," who had a reputation for passing along darned near everything he thought he'd heard (i.e. "scuttlebutt says"). The individual thus referred to was 'known' for information that was usually somewhat ureliable at best.

I'd just like to say that I don't wish to GM for this story, since I don't think I really have the time right now (among other things.)
I have a few ideas about a story for chapter 5, if we end up going with a greenland/northern adventure, and if Bailey or whoever's going to GM next would like to collaborate or just use my ideas I can PM them some things.

If Bailey doesn't mind, I'm happy to carry on acting as GM for the series

I'm thinking of taking Corsair up on his offer, as life for me will be hectic and a bit chaotic for the next few days/weeks; I've just been elected to the post of Play Coordinator for the local dulcimer society (the person who takes in requests and suggestions for performances, and schedules same and notifies the membership about them, among other duties), and I have a manuscript to finish rewriting and such for Arkwright for the latest Asylum anthology, and various firing squads doctors appointments ... all coming due or happening next week. *panting in desperation*
The original plan for the next episode was to have Stella and I do an episode with a supernatural bent, but then her renfare preps got hectic, and so did my world as well (no fault or worries, just explaining), and we opted to let Evelyn Adler write and GM the next episode, which was to be set in China/The Far East - but both she and Private Weasel have opted to do their LARP thing and their RL jobs (again no problem, just explaining, hope you guys do come back at some point), and have posted that they hope to return to HMAS Marigold 'at some point in the future,' just not right now.
So, I suppose we could do Alexis' Golden Compass-esque idea starting from Greenland, or go ahead with the Far East thing, but I'd rather leave that decision up to the group or Corsair or both.
So, that's basically where I/we are now. I'll continue to post and step in when necessary, but Corsair can continue as GM for now if he prefers, while I play Alan Quatermain and the Biblical Crapstorm (LOL)..

I'll be busy over the rest of this week. Final exams and then I'll be out of high school for the rest of my life. I will probably have quite a bit of spare time on my hands after I am through with the finals.

I'm very easy about what we do, just so long as I'm not running the game. I do enough of that IRL, so its nice to just play online. If Corsair wants to run something, I'm totally good with that.

"Well, I don't really think that the end can be assessed as of itself as being the end because what does the end feel like? It's like saying when you try to extrapolate the end of the universe, you say, if the universe is indeed infinite, then how - what does that mean? How far is all the way, and then if it stops, what's stopping it, and what's behind what's stopping it? So, what's the end, you know, is my question to you."

I felt that some explanation about the bit about the Demeter, etc. might be necessary.
The Demeter is her Nadir Majesty Wilhelmina Harker's airship-of-state, so to speak. She and it set out for Greenland and Nuuk via Dublin, 'way back about the time the Marigold crossed the Caucasus (see the relevant post); ultimately, this was a setup for her to eventually meet with Rourke in person, and tell him a few needful things, and to give the character a chance to interact with the others, after which she would either help with the greenie infestation in Nuuk or the hinterland, or head back home again.
Not sure what to do about it now that we have 3 new players (two large parts of the reason for Wilhelmina's and her court's presence in the storyline was to to add in more characters, since we started out with a relatively small cast, as well as to have some intrigue and something other than badassery and zombie-apocalypsizing to play around with). Suggestions?

The rumor Will's talking about may or may not be related to later parts of the story, not sure yet.
Internet's been iffy today, so it's possible I might disappear until later this evening.

If people are looking for ideas I've also had some ideas floating around involving automotons
