You're supposed to stick them to the window but I don't see the point of them being moustache shaped. I thought maybe you stuck one right under your nose to get the full effect of the fragrance..and giving yourself a damned fine moustache in the process..

Got a phonecall today, with the result of my job interview I did yesterday. They don't think I'm the right person for the job. Which made me quite happy and relieved. I had come to the conclusion myself, that a job where I spend most of my time - the entire working week - abroad (in Germany most likely), is probably not exactly what I hoped to find when I moved to the UK. And even though it's nice to earn a lot of money, it isn't worth living only for your work and not the other way around. The search for the ideal job continues...

I interviewed for a job with great pay and wonderful benefits, and had a very good interview, but by the time they told me they were going with someone else I had realized that it would have made me miserable very quickly. And now I've found a job I love much, much more. Hopefully you'll find something like that too.

"Well, I don't really think that the end can be assessed as of itself as being the end because what does the end feel like? It's like saying when you try to extrapolate the end of the universe, you say, if the universe is indeed infinite, then how - what does that mean? How far is all the way, and then if it stops, what's stopping it, and what's behind what's stopping it? So, what's the end, you know, is my question to you."

One of my friends just emailed me that he needs my help with a house repair job tomorrow! I have work! Woohoo!!!! There is a Catch 22. My fiance's parent's wanted me to do something this weekend....but they want me to have a job....considering their granddaughter is more important than formality, I hope they understand my choice.

Watched UK/IRE rugby this morning while having a pint. Now it's raining up a storm so I have an excuse to stay in and read all day. I was going to do that anyway, but now I have a legitimate reason. This makes me happy.

ENGLAND vs IReland, not UK vs Ireland. I doubt the Scots or the Welsh would be so pleased with the result as us Englishmen are

Today was St. Patrick's Day.
The day started off with me working. I work at an arcade so I'm used to little kids who destroy the place and I don't usually care because at least then I have something to do. Today was different. We had a party for a 6 year old who asked for help every few minutes, and one of her guests felt it was a good idea to drag every single controller out and his grandparents felt that it was ok not to tell him not to act out like that. I like kids, but that was a little much. Then I had a party, at the last minute, decide they want everything arranged differently. But, all in all, they weren't bad. (I hate to be mean, since all the parents seemed nice, and it's a little unfair to blame them, since it's just as hard for them to watch all these kids as us, and many of them did try to help and they all where amiable and patient about everything.) None of that really got to me at the time, until I found out I had to take care of something at home, a good 30 minutes away, instead of heading into the nearest pub to get my fill of Irish food and beer.
But after that, I was able to take my boyfriend down to the town I work at and we went to a semi-not really-Irish in name only pub (The kitchen for the good Irish pub in town was closed) so I could eat something somewhat Irish chased down by a classic Guinness. Then we decided to check out this bar not a two minute walk away, and they had mostly crappy beers highlighted by a local craft brew that was quite fantastic. To anyone in the Jersey area, I believe it's from a brewer called Cargo Brewery looked it up, it's Carton Brewery. I was simply told it was an ale, and it was quite hoppy and amber in color. After that, we had some cigars I was saving and then headed to a craft brew bar close to my house. I had a couple of amazing beers and had a great time.
All in all, it was a really good day.

My future step-daughter whose grandparents believe to be a wimp....thinks the skeleton I did for the last Gentlemen's Challenge is her friend. For some reason skulls and gore really do not frighten her and she actually seems to like them. I had to take a severed head away from her this morning.

Whilst looking around for information for another project I found this. I'm now thinking that one in 1/350 scale could be a nice addition to my 'cut flower' squadron... alongside Dresden and Varyag.

Had a lovely relaxing day after the farmer's market in the morning and found myself enjoying the sunset over the Glass Mountains while sitting atop a papercrete built bed and breakfast in Marathon, Texas. Also my lady's experimental colcannon was the favorite of the meal. Everyone stopped to ask of it.

I had a most pleasant day with my family, fourteen of us including Matthew, the first baby in the clan for many a year. At five months old he's a lovely young chap, and of course going to be spolied rotten as time goes by.
Also we had our family Art Competition which understandably this time round had a baby theme, and the next Competition is.....to make a pair of shoes. They do not have to be wearable shoes, but points will be awarded if they are actually wearable....but the idea is shoes as works of art.
Also superb food provided by various members of the family, home made bread and cakes, various flans, home made conserves and so forth.
